Did you get your entries in? The Classic Company’s Atlanta Fall Shows are just four weeks away and will be the place to be November 7 through the 18th at the Atlanta International Olympic Horse Park in Conyers, Georgia.
Schuyler Riley, owner of Wolfstone Stables in Wellington, Florida, is one of America’s most successful show jumping riders. She has been in the ‘Winners Circle’ at some of the most prestigious events in the world such as the Budweiser American Invitational, the American Gold Cup and the Budweiser AGA National Championships. She is only the second rider in history and the first female ever to post back to back wins in the Chrysler Classic at Spruce Meadows. She’s been a key member of the United States Equestrian Team and posted double clear rounds in leading the US to victory at the Samsung Super League in LaBaule, France.
She will make her way to the Classic Fall Atlanta shows both weeks. “That’s the plan,” she said. She has shown at the Classic Fall Atlanta shows for the last two years and this year will be bringing 6 to 10 horses. “I have some clients showing but most of them are sale horses that I plan to show in different jumper classes,” she said. “And I do have one very fancy Pre-Green Hunter,” Riley added.
“I really like the facility; it is very user friendly and the Classic Company show management does a great job in making the footing the best it can be,” Riley answered when asked why she shows at the Fall Classic Atlanta Shows. “The Classic Company Atlanta Shows are great because they are perfect for bringing along my Grand Prix horses,” she added.
There will be lots of jumper events to choose from too! From the big prize money offered in the Barry Lane Jumper Division, to the hefty $15,000 Welcome Class money to the even bigger Grand Prix classes offering $65,000 and $45,000, respectively, the jumpers will have plenty of opportunities to grab some extra cash before the holidays.
The Hunters are in it too as the Adequan Pre-Green Hunter Class will crown its winner and pay out big prize money Week II. Up and coming Junior Riders will have the opportunity to ride for their championships Friday and Saturday during the highly anticipated Junior Classic Equitation Championship Finals in the covered arena during Week II.
And, while Classic Company considers everyone a VIP at its shows, there will be a special designated VIP area with extended service, including luncheons and dinners.
