Norton Veterinary Consulting and Education Resources Offers Online Courses for Horse Owners

Wellington, FL – August 29, 2012 – Norton Veterinary Consulting and Education Resources developed an online series of their popular in-person veterinary courses for horse owners. The series is a convenient way for horse professionals, enthusiasts and owners to access the latest, most relevant information to improve the healthcare of horses.

Courses include the latest information presented by Joan Norton, VMD, DACVIM, a life-long horse enthusiast and hunter/jumper competitor. Dr. Norton is a graduate with the Award of Excellence in Large Animal Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania. She trained in medicine, surgery and anesthesia at Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington, KY, then received her board certification and was named a diplomat of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM), also at the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Norton developed and taught the hugely popular series of client education courses while working for Janssen Veterinary Clinic in Sheridan, IN. Her passion for education is evident and the response to the series was overwhelming.

She developed the online series to offer an alternative way for horse owners, riders, caregivers, and professionals to enjoy the same information as in the face-to-face seminars, in their own time, in the comfort of their home, office or stable.

“The response to these courses has been phenomenal. I am so pleased to bring these online courses, rich with important information, to horse owners and professionals so that they may be more informed and effective care givers to their beloved equine partners,’ said Dr. Norton.
