May Day Qualifier, a USDF and USEF Recognized Show Presented by Westwind Events of Archer, FL

Every May, dressage riders from all over the southeast look forward to the May Day Qualifier, a USDF and USEF recognized show presented by Westwind Events of Archer, Florida. This year, the show on May 10-11 is moving to the Florida Horse Park (FHP) in Ocala, Florida. Currently, the horse park is building a huge covered arena and stabling to host large, international shows. Florida Horse Park is where the next hub for dressage, eventing, jumper shows as well as other disciplines will take place well into the future. May Days will offer levels from Introductory to Grand Prix, with a Musical Freestyle Crystal Challenge.

Westwind Events is known for producing professional, fun, laid back shows with beautiful awards, excellent scheduling, great judges, and a friendly staff.  Look for the prize list on the FHP web site in late March.  Interested vendors and sponsors may call 352-328-6112.

Directions: I 75 exit 341 go east on 484 to the light at 475. Turn north; go approximately 1 mile on the left.

UPDATE: We are now partnered with the National Dressage Pony Cup. Promoting ponies in the world of dressage!

Canterbury Showplace USDF/USEF May Days Qualifier Show Sponsor Opportunities

Be included with this year’s Canterbury May Day Qualifier Dressage Show, May 14-15, 2011 in Newberry, Florida!

Set in the beautiful horse country of north central Florida, this special show will host some of the south’s finest competition riders and horses. Canterbury Showplace has been at this for 6 years now and each show has grown bigger and better than ever. This year with the help of our sponsors they are holding the $1000.00 Freestyle Challenge under the lights on Saturday evening. They are also advertising it to the community to raise awareness about the sport of dressage. There will be an evening program printed for the spectators who can pick their favorite horse and rider combo and cheer them on. The Musical free styles are the “creative” portion of the daily scheduled dressage rides and this year they are hosting about 2 hours of this beautiful performance.

Can you be a participant either by; 1) coming and riding, or 2) perhaps sponsoring a division or 3) becoming a Bronze, Silver or Gold sponsor. See below for the benefits for each level. This is a unique and fun show that people look forward to every year. Last year Canterbury ran 3 rings both days. Their goal is 4 this year. With the new $2100.00 Classics on Sunday, sponsored by Fleet Footing, people will have added oppor­tunity to win a bit of prize money which brings even more folks to the show!
