International Jumping of Dinard: Final French Step before Rio

Two weeks away from the Olympic Equestrian events held in Rio de Janeiro (Deodoro) from 16 to 19 August, the best riders in the world meet up in Dinard for their final preparation. From to 28 to 31 July, the mythical Val Porée stadium welcomes close to 150 riders and 350 horses coming from 25 nations, for the 2nd edition of the International Jumping of Dinard, a 5 star event, highest level in the world.

This year, riders and horses pairs will compete in 24 international classes, divided in four levels of competition (CSI 5*, CSI 2*, CSI 1* and CSI YH 7), held on two show grounds, among which the gorgeous grass arena and its generous shape that makes Dinard one of the most elegant show grounds in Europe.

Among the highlights, the world elite of show jumping will compete over the spectacular natural and traditional fences of the Tropicana Derby, on Saturday 30 July at 4.30pm, and in the prestigious Grand Prix of the City of Dinard, on Sunday 31 July at 2.30pm, culminating point of these 4 days of competition endowed with 600 000 €.

Simultaneously, the CSI1* and CSI2 will bring together professional and experienced amateurs, with VIPs like Marina Hands, Guillaume Canet, Eve Jobs (Steve Jobs’s daughter), Jennifer Gates (Bill Gates’s daughter), while the CSI YH will showcase the best 7 year old horses, stars of the discipline in the making.

Between two jumping classes, the public, admitted freely during the event, will be able to wander through the alleyways of the exhibitor village, enjoy the most beautiful beaches of the Côte d’Emeraude, and discover the old city or the charming architecture of the 400 Belle Epoque villas.
