September 14, 2013 – The SUNCOAST Bedding Plant located in Fitzgerald, GA was consumed by fire, Thursday, September 12, 2013.

SUNCOAST management would like to extend gratitude to the local emergency, fire, and police for their quick response and admirable efforts. We also appreciate the local manufacturers, city and county officials for their aid and support. We are especially appreciative to all our customers who have reached out to us.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
SUNCOAST manufactures pure pine shavings for use as bedding for animals: livestock, poultry and pets. SUNCOAST supplies shavings worldwide.
The SUNCOAST western region Texas plant, Agri-Tex, is not affected and will assist in rebuilding inventory for the Eastern region customers.
Production equipment on the outside of the building in Fitzgerald sustained minimal damage, which will help expedite rebuilding the plant and facility.
