SAUGERTIES, NY (May 22, 2014) – After more than two decades of dedicated service to HITS Horse Shows, Inc., Tony Hitchcock, Director of Corporate Sales, recently announced his retirement. Hitchcock has been an integral part of the HITS Horse Shows Sponsorship and Marketing Team, and orchestrated more than 100 sponsorship agreements with leading companies, both consumer and equine. His sales include contracts with national brands including Zoetis, AIG and Great American Insurance – title sponsors of the three Million Dollar Grand Prix that make up the celebrated HITS Triple Crown of Show Jumping.

Hitchcock will step down from his position later this year as he plans to spend more time with his wife, Jean, while they pursue their passion for traveling the world. They’ve already visited Thailand, Scotland, South America, Italy and France and are eager to continue their journeys.

HITS has begun the search for someone to fill Hitchcock’s role, working alongside Chris Mayone in the dynamic and expanding Sponsorship and Marketing Department at HITS Horse Shows.

The position will be based in the HITS, Inc. corporate office in Saugerties, New York, and require travel to the winter circuits in Ocala, Florida or Thermal, California. An equine background, preferably in the hunter/jumper discipline, is beneficial, but not mandatory. At least five years marketing and sales experience is required, salary will be based on experience.
