Strzegom Autumn Show – Competition Heats Up

Strzegom, 4 September 2026 — Day Two of Strzegom Autumn Show 2026 is now behind us. On Friday, riders at the Morawa venue competed in the dressage phase of both international and national classes. The young horses competing for national titles also completed another stage of their competition, taking on the show jumping phase of the Polish Young Horse Championships.
This year’s Strzegom Autumn Show has attracted nearly 350 horses and riders representing 16 countries. The line-up includes newly crowned individual World Champion Michael Jung and U25 World Champion Calvin Böckmann. After two days of competition, the leaders have emerged following the dressage phase of the main international classes, but the decisive tests of the weekend are still ahead.
CCI4*-S – Lara de Liedekerke-Meier leads after dressage
In the highest-level class of the event, the CCI4*-S, Belgium’s Lara de Liedekerke-Meier and Quintus delivered the best dressage test to take the lead on 28.9 penalties. Germany’s Maj-Jonna Ziebell and Creed 5 sit second on 29.8, while her compatriot Antonia Baumgart and Ris de Talm are third on 31.6.
CCI3*-S – Australian rider leads after dressage
In the CCI3*-S, Australia’s Grace Kay and Bluefields For Cello lead the standings after dressage with 29.3 penalties. Just 0.3 penalties behind are Italy’s Pietro Grandis and Moon Connection on 29.6. Third place belongs to Germany’s Julia Krajewski, team silver medallist at the World Championships in Aachen, riding Intouchable Tonic on 30.4 penalties.
With only small margins separating the leaders, the competition remains wide open ahead of the next phases.
CCI2*-S – Michael Jung takes the lead after dressage
The second part of the CCI2*-S dressage phase took place on Friday and brought changes at the top of the leaderboard. Newly crowned individual Eventing World Champion Michael Jung and Cloud Nine moved into the lead with 27.6 penalties. Poland’s Mateusz Kiempa and Olympic Boy are second on 28.2 penalties, while Germany’s Pauline Knorr and Aevolet M-A-F hold third place with 28.8 penalties.
CCIYH2*-S – Anna Lena Schaaf leads the six-year-olds
In the CCIYH2*-S for six-year-old horses, Germany’s Anna Lena Schaaf and Barclay FRH lead after dressage with an impressive score of 25.1 penalties. Her compatriot Sven Lux and Berlioz are second on 26.3, while Belgium’s Lara de Liedekerke-Meier and Herakles sit third on 26.9 penalties.
Fewer than two penalties separate the top three, setting the stage for a close battle in the remaining phases.
Young horses move closer to the national trophies
The competition is also heating up in the Polish Young Horse Championships and the Polish Young Horse Cup in Eventing. Following Thursday’s dressage phase, the young horses faced their next challenge on Friday – show jumping.
The jumping phase provided another important test in the battle for the national trophies. The decisive phases are still ahead and will determine the best young horses of this year’s competition in Strzegom.
