Lara de Liedekerke-Meier Leads Both Four-Star Classes, Michael Jung on Top in CCI2*-S

Strzegom, 5 September 2026 — Day Three of Strzegom Autumn Show 2026 is now behind us. Saturday at the Morawa venue brought the first final results of the weekend, while in the main international classes riders battled for the best possible positions ahead of Sunday’s cross-country. The winners of the CCI1*-Intro were crowned, along with the best young horses competing for the Polish Young Horse Championship titles and Polish Young Horse Cup trophies.

CCI4*-S and CCIYH4*-S – Lara de Liedekerke-Meier leads both four-star classes

Belgium’s Lara de Liedekerke-Meier will head into Sunday’s cross-country as the leader of both four-star classes. In the CCI4*-S, riding Quintus, she completed Saturday’s show jumping without any jumping faults, adding only 0.4 time penalties. With a score of 29.3 penalties, she retained the lead. Germany’s Maj-Jonna Ziebell and Creed 5 are close behind on 29.8, while Julia Krajewski and Ero de Cantraie moved up into third place on 33.1.

The Belgian rider also leads the CCIYH4*-S for 8- and 9-year-old horses. Riding Call Me Senorita, she completed the show jumping without any jumping faults, adding 0.8 time penalties to take a score of 33.6 into the cross-country. The Netherlands’ Renske Kroeze and Magic Coconut are second on 34.1, while U25 World Champion Calvin Böckmann and Kasparow FRH moved into third place on 35.0.

CCI3*-S and CCIYH3*-S – tight margins ahead of cross-country

Saturday’s show jumping brought changes at the top of the CCI3*-S leaderboard. A clear round inside the time moved Germany’s Julia Krajewski and Intouchable Tonic into the lead, allowing them to remain on their dressage score of 30.4 penalties. Her compatriot Amelie Reisacher and Rockalong are second on 31.6, while Poland’s Daria Kobiernik and Trybunal moved up into third after a clear round, finishing the day on 32.3.

In the CCIYH3*-S for 7-year-old horses, Belgium’s Kato De Smidt and Botanique VD Vrombautshoeve Z lead after Saturday’s show jumping on 37.7 penalties. Just 0.3 penalties behind is Poland’s Jan Kamiński and Richman P&A Z. Italy’s Pietro Grandis and Daylight B 5 are third on 38.8.

CCI2*-S and CCIYH2*-S – World Champion remains in the lead

In the CCI2*-S, the leading combinations delivered clear rounds in Saturday’s show jumping, meaning there were no major changes at the top of the leaderboard. Newly crowned individual World Champion Michael Jung and Cloud Nine retained the lead and will head into Sunday’s cross-country on 27.6 penalties. Poland’s Mateusz Kiempa and Olympic Boy are close behind in second on 28.2. Germany’s Pauline Knorr and Levana of Jamaica moved into third place, remaining on their score of 29.8.

In the CCIYH2*-S for 6-year-old horses, Germany’s Anna Lena Schaaf and Barclay FRH retained the lead after Saturday’s show jumping. A clear round allowed them to remain on their score of 25.1 penalties. Lara de Liedekerke-Meier and Herakles moved into second place on 26.9, while Belgium’s Jarno Verwimp and Komment Donc AA are third on 28.4.

CCI1*-Intro – German podium and victory for Libussa Lübbeke

The CCI1*-Intro competition came to an end on Saturday. Germany’s Libussa Lübbeke and Calia 8 took the victory, completing the event on their dressage score of 23.5 penalties. Her compatriot Maj-Jonna Ziebell and Luna Lovegood finished second on 28.7, while Calvin Böckmann and Hickobat took third place with 29.8 penalties.

First national young horse titles awarded

Saturday also brought the final results in the national young horse competitions. Following the cross-country phase, the winners of the Polish Young Horse Championships and the Polish Young Horse Cup in Eventing were crowned in the respective age categories.

Among the 4-year-old horses, Wioleta Hajnos and Akropol claimed the Polish Championship title, while Klaudia Kostrzewska and Funny II-WM won the Polish Young Horse Cup.

In the 5-year-old category, Michał Hycki celebrated a double success. He claimed the Polish Championship title with Standing Ovation M and won the Polish Young Horse Cup with Ottino.

Among the 6-year-old horses, the Polish Championship title went to Paweł Warszawski and Awangarda, while Julia Gillmaier and Chacoonita 6 won the Polish Young Horse Cup.
