Strzegom, 6 September 2026 — Four days of competition, nearly 350 horses, riders from 16 countries and top-level sport – Strzegom Autumn Show delivered plenty of excitement. At the Morawa venue, some of the biggest stars of international eventing competed alongside young horses taking their first steps on the international stage.
This year’s line-up confirmed the high sporting level of the event. The field featured medallists from the world’s biggest championships, including Olympic champions Michael Jung and Julia Krajewski. Jung arrived in Strzegom less than three weeks after claiming the individual World Championship title in Aachen, where he also won team silver for Germany alongside Krajewski and Libussa Lübbeke. The field also included Calvin Böckmann, this year’s individual U25 World Champion. Such a strong line-up underlined the sporting prestige of the event and gave spectators in Morawa the opportunity to watch some of the world’s leading eventing riders in action.
CCI4*-S – Julia Krajewski takes the top honours
In the highest-level class of the event, the CCI4*-S, Tokyo Olympic champion Julia Krajewski took the victory aboard Ero de Cantraie. The German rider was fifth after dressage, but a clear show jumping round and a strong cross-country performance moved her to the top of the leaderboard with a final score of 37.5 penalties. Belgium’s Lara de Liedekerke-Meier, who had been leading aboard Quintus, finished second on 39.3, while her compatriot Tine Magnus and Dia Van Het Lichterveld Z completed the podium on 41.3.
CCIYH4*-S – young horses take on the four-star level
In the four-star class for eight- and nine-year-old horses, Lara de Liedekerke-Meier held on to the lead from dressage all the way to the finish. The Belgian rider and Call Me Senorita completed the competition on 42.4 penalties, ahead of two German combinations. Calvin Böckmann and Kasparow FRH finished second on 43.4, while Felix Etzel and Benoit Bold took third on 44.7. Just 2.3 penalties separated the entire top three, highlighting how closely fought the competition was.
CCI3*-S – a one-two for Julia Krajewski
Julia Krajewski dominated the CCI3*-S, taking the top two places. She won aboard Intouchable Tonic with 33.2 penalties and finished second with Tullabeg Platinum on 34.7. Poland’s Daria Kobiernik also delivered a strong performance, taking third place aboard Trybunal with a final score of 35.5 penalties.
CCIYH3*-S – Pietro Grandis wins the seven-year-old class
In the CCIYH3*-S for seven-year-old horses, Italy’s Pietro Grandis and Daylight B 5 claimed a convincing victory. The pair completed the competition with 39.2 penalties and a clear advantage over the rest of the field. Belgium’s Lander Van Den Broeck and Miss. Robinson finished second on 53.9, while Poland’s Wiktoria Knap and Samurai de Murk took third place on 68.8 penalties.
CCI2*-S – Michael Jung wins
Individual World Champion Michael Jung took the victory in the CCI2*-S aboard Cloud Nine. The German rider led from the dressage phase, jumped clear in the show jumping and completed the competition after cross-country with 29.2 penalties. His compatriot Pauline Knorr and Levana of Jamaica finished second, remaining on their dressage score of 29.8. Poland’s Mateusz Kiempa also produced an excellent performance aboard Olympic Boy, finishing third on 30.6 penalties, just 1.4 behind the winner.
CCIYH2*-S – Belgian clean sweep led by Lara de Liedekerke-Meier
Lara de Liedekerke-Meier and Herakles came out on top in the CCIYH2*-S for six-year-old horses. The Belgian combination was third after dressage, but clear rounds in both show jumping and cross-country moved them into the lead and secured victory on 26.9 penalties. Jarno Verwimp took both remaining podium places, finishing second aboard Komment Donc AA on 28.4 and third with Diacontina C&T Z on 31.9. The result meant a clean sweep of the podium for Belgium.
The season in Strzegom is not over yet
Strzegom Autumn Show was the penultimate international eventing competition held in Morawa in the 2026 season. One more event awaits riders and fans – the Strzegom October Festival, the grand finale of this year’s season.
The October event will have even more at stake, as it will decide the overall winners of the DCU Strzegom Tour and Strzegom Rising Stars Tour. With the final points on offer, the last battles for positions in the rankings and one final weekend of eventing action in Morawa, the season finale promises plenty of excitement.
Strzegom October Festival will take place on 8–11 October at the Morawa venue.
