Mark your calendar for this CALL TO ACTION on Tuesday, July 1, 2025!
Wild horses, burros, and America’s public lands are under serious threat. That’s why advocates across the country are joining forces for a National Call-In Day of Action — and we need your voice to be part of the movement.
WHAT TO DO:
Take just 10 minutes on July 1 to call your two U.S. Senators and your House Representative.
WHAT TO SAY:
Two different actions are needed — both are vital:
- The “Big Beautiful Bill”: Tell them to reject any plan to sell or privatize our public lands, home to thousands of native species — including wild horses and burros.
- 2026 Appropriations Bill: Ask that Congress include clear language protecting wild horses and burros from killing or unrestricted sale: “Please protect America’s wild horses by restoring the rider that prevents the killing or sale of healthy equines in holding. This rider must be part of the final 2026 budget.”
Click here to find your US lawmakers. You may also call the Capitol Switchboard at (202) 224‑3121, give your city/state, and ask to be connected. If you don’t get a live person, leave a message.
Together, let’s raise our voices in a powerful CALL OF THE WILD and tell Congress:
Hands Off Our Wildlife. Hands Off Our Public Lands.
