HITS Weekly Competition Wrap Up

The winner of the $10,000 Standlee/USHJA Open National Hunter Derby, presented by Mary’s Tack & Feed, was Sarah Moberg and Ultimate Romance, a nine-year-old Warmblood gelding by Chacoon Blue owned by Isabel Dyckerhoff. The pair impressed for top scores of 86 in round one, 88 in round two, plus four high option points both times, for a total score of 182.
Soleil Teubner Boughton showcased two of her own horses in the $5,000 Standlee/USHJA Amateur National Hunter Derby, but it was with Crown Calido that she claimed the top spot. Teubner Boughton guided the 15-year-old Holsteiner gelding by Crown Affair to scores of 82.5, 88, and four high option points in each round for a winning total of 178.5.
The last to go, but the first on the leaderboard, was Kathryn Padilla and Cassario 8 in the $5,000 Standlee/USHJA Junior National Hunter Derby. With the ultimate poise and consistency, the duo tallied marks of 86 and 87. Combined with four high option points in each round, their overall score of 181 could not be matched. Following this victorious performance, Padilla and the 14-year-old Holsteiner gelding (Cassin 2 x Colman) owned by Zoe Wolf will look to make their mark on the competition once again as they make their return to HITS Del Mar for the prestigious Adequan/USEF Junior Hunter National Championship – West on July 23-26, 2026.
