Applications Now Being Accepted for 2015 U.S. Saddle Seat Young Riders Teams

Lexington, Ky. – The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) is pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for the 2015 US Saddle Seat Young Riders Teams. The teams have been created to help develop riders for future U.S. Saddle Seat World Cup Teams, and in 2015 USEF will be fielding teams for two international competitions. One team will travel to South Africa for an Invitational and one team will compete at an Invitational in the United States. Each team will consist of twelve athletes, six three-gaited and six five-gaited riders.

Unlike the selection process for the U.S. Saddle Seat World Cup Team, riders will not have to attend live tryouts to be selected. Instead, selection will be based on an application and riding video.

The 2015 Selection Criteria and Tips for Applicants are available at www.usef.org.

It is important for any potential applicant to thoroughly read all sections prior to commencing the application process as there are requirements and commitments that must be met to be considered.
