Ant and Dec to Host the Queen’s 90th Birthday Celebration

Ant and Dec will host The Queen’s 90th Birthday Celebration, which will be broadcast live on ITV later this year.

This National Celebratory Event will take place in the presence of Her Majesty The Queen and will be hosted by Royal Windsor Horse Show in the private grounds of Windsor Castle. The event will see the best of British talent join more than 900 horses and 1500 participants for what promises to be a spectacular evening.

The Celebration will tell the story of The Queen’s remarkable life from her birth in 1926, through World War Two, to her Coronation in 1953 and a reign spanning more than 60 years.

Some of the biggest stars from the world of entertainment will take to the stage whilst performers in the arena will include The Oman Royal Cavalry, Chilean Huasos, The New Zealand Army Band, The Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Azerbaijan Cossack Riders, State Carriages from The Royal Mews, The South Australian Police Band, The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery, The Fijian Army Dancers and Band, 100 Military and Commonwealth Pipers and The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment.

The programme has been commissioned by ITV’s Director of Entertainment and Comedy Elaine Bedell and Commissioning Editor, Entertainment, Peter Davey. It is produced by ITV Studios and Spun Gold Television. Lee Connolly and Sue Andrew will executive produce for ITV Studios and Nick Bullen for Spun Gold Television. The event is organised by the organising team behind Royal Windsor Horse Show.

The Queen’s 90th Birthday Celebration

The Queen’s 90th Birthday Celebration will take place from 12-15th May 2016 in Home Park (Private) Windsor Castle.

Jaguar Land Rover is the Principal Commercial Partner, with Rolex, Waitrose, St James’s House (Media) and ITV as Official Partners. Official Suppliers are Hermes, DAKS, Dorchester Collection, Laurent-Perrier and Musto. In addition, major blue chip companies have supported the event including HSBC, Royal Mail, Compass, Old Mutual, BT, BAE Systems, Prudential, KPMG, Vodafone, Intercontinental Hotel Group, United Utilities, Sky, BP and Anglo American.

The Queen’s 90th Birthday Celebration is organised by the organising team behind Royal Windsor Horse Show, who has worked on a variety of international projects and large scale televised consumer events including the 2012 Diamond Jubilee Pageant at Windsor Castle, the Centenary of The First World War at the CWGC Cemetery, St Symphorien, Belgium in 2014, the World War Two 60th Anniversary Commemorations in Horse Guards 2005.

Acts already confirmed to perform include: The Oman Royal Cavalry, Chilean Huasos, New Zealand Army Band, South Australian Police Band, Fijian Musicians and Dancers, The Household Cavalry, The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery, Commonwealth Pipers, The Pony Club, Shetland Ponies, State Carriages and many more.

The Queen’s 90th Birthday Celebration is a not for profit event and aims to create a significant surplus that will be donated to charities. This will be distributed to chosen charities of which The Queen is Patron. Whilst these charities are not yet determined they are likely to come from the Commonwealth, equine and animal sectors.
