Lexington, KY – The following riders have been named by the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) to represent the U.S. in America’s only Nations Cup which will be held in Wellington, FL on March 2, as part of CSIO Wellington. The Palm Beach International Equestrian Club’s International Arena will host some of the best horses and riders from across the globe as they vie for top honors in the $75,000 FEI Nations Cup presented by G&C Farm.
The United States will be represented by the following four riders who have each been entered on two horses:
Beezie Madden (Cazenovia, NY) on Abigail Wexner’s Cortes ‘C’ and Simon
Cortes ‘C’ is a 10-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding
Simon is a 13-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding
Margie Engle (Wellington, FL) on Gladewinds, Griese, Garber, and Hidden Creek Farm’s Indigo and Elm Rock Partners, LLC’s Royce
Indigo is a 12-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding
Royce is an 8-year-old Oldenburg stallion
Mario Deslauriers (New York, NY) on Jane Clark’s Cella and Urico
Cella is a 10-year-old Belgian mare
Urico is an 11-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding
Lauren Hough (Wellington, FL) on Robin Parsky’s Blue Angel and Laura and Meredith Mateo’s Quick Study
Blue Angel is a 10-year-old Anglo-European mare
Quick Study is a 13-year-old French Warmblood gelding
George Morris will serve as the Chef d’Equipe.
