USEF Developing Dressage Program Announces Upcoming Observation and Training Sessions

Lexington, KY – The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) is pleased to announce upcoming features in the USEF Developing Dressage Program. The program, made possible by a generous gift from Akiko Yamazaki and Red Husky Foundation through U.S. Equestrian Team Foundation, will host Observation and Training Sessions throughout the U.S. this spring and summer.

USEF Developing Dressage Observation Sessions will be held at the CDI Del Mar National in Del Mar, California and at the CDI Houston Dressage Society Spring Classic in Katy, Texas; both competitions run April 25-28. A combination of selectors (Lendon Gray, Anne Gribbons, Scott Hassler, Jeremy Steinberg, and Debbie McDonald) will be on site to observe combinations in CDI Small Tour, U-25, and USEF Developing Horse Qualifying classes.

Additionally, two invitation-only USEF Developing Dressage Training Sessions have been scheduled with Debbie McDonald, the USEF Developing Dressage Coach. The first session will be conducted May 31 – June 1 in Thousand Oaks, California at Linda Fowler’s Epona Farm. McDonald then travels to Chesapeake City, Maryland for a session July 29-30 held at Hassler Dressage at Riveredge.

Riders wishing to participate must submit a Training and Grant Application found here: http://usef.org/documents/highPerformance/dressage/2013/DevelopingTrainingGrantApplication.pdf. The application for the California session is due May 8 and an application must be submitted by June 1 for the Maryland session.
