Strzegom Spring Open II – New Leaders and First Winners

Morawa, 26 April 2025 — Saturday at Strzegom Spring Open II was filled with thrilling sporting emotions. Nearly 300 horse-and-rider combinations from 19 countries competed across classes ranging from CNC 80 cm to the demanding CCI4*-L.
The day featured intense showjumping rounds and spectacular cross-country performances, which provided unforgettable excitement for spectators. We also crowned the first winners of the event.
In the key international competitions, the standings are as follows:
CCI4*-L – Clear Cross-Country round for Mélody Johner
In the most challenging class of the weekend – CCI4*-L – Swiss rider Mélody Johner took the lead after the cross-country phase aboard Erin. The pair completed a flawless round, finishing on a score of 37.2 penalty points, without any jumping or time faults. Kevin McNab (AUS) and Faro IMP currently hold second place (42.1 pts), while Poland’s Mateusz Kiempa with Libertina stands third (46.8 pts).
CCI4*-S – Amanda Andersson takes the Lead
In the CCI4*-S class, Sweden’s Amanda Andersson moved into the lead after a faultless cross-country round with Double Carat, maintaining a total of 34.0 penalty points. Austria’s Lea Siegl is in second place riding Van Helsing P (35.4 pts) and also holds third position with Watermill Giorgio RS (37.0 pts).
The best Polish combination, Joanna Pawlak and Fantastic Frieda, climbed to 12th place with a score of 57.3 points.
CCI2*-S – First Winners crowned
In the CCI2*-S class, Robin Godel of Switzerland proved unbeatable, taking both first and second places. He achieved an excellent result of 30.5 penalty points with both Ileou des Rondets and Ilario des Tours. The faster cross-country time secured the overall victory for Ileou des Rondets. Anna Siemer (GER) aboard Zacky Zack secured third place with 31.6 penalty points.
Sunday – The Final Showdown
Saturday’s thrilling performances proved that the battle for overall victory remains wide open. Sunday marks the final day of Strzegom Spring Open II, where the champions of the 2025 edition will be crowned among nearly 300 competitors.
