A special congratulations to Megan Young who navigated Lee Cesery’s Marquis to top honors in the $2,500 USHJA National Hunter Classic, sponsored by Jerry Parks Insurance Group.  Marquis bested an impressive group of horses for the blue ribbon.

As we move on to our final Week 3, we expect some more lovely weather, a $25,000 International Hunter Derby in addition to a $25,000 Grand Prix.

The Jacksonville Winter Finale is offering VIP tables to watch the Grand Prix and Hunter Derby in style and comfort. Tables of 10 are available in the heated VIP tent at the end of the large covered ring. Dinner, beer and wine will be available both Friday and Saturday evenings prior to and during the main events.

Friday’s menu will feature:

Southwest chicken: Boneless chicken breast served over Spanish rice with a southwestern black bean sauce
Salad
Pineapple Shortcake

Saturday’s menu will feature:

Baked Ziti: Penne pasta baked in a “house marinara” with chicken and Italian sausage
Salad
Banana Pudding

Tables of 10 are available for $350 for the weekend. Half tables seating 5 are available for $175 for the weekend. Individual tickets are available for $45 per person for the weekend.
