Wellington, Fla. – April 12, 2018 – Up-and-coming junior rider Savonna Adell is passionate about equestrian sport, and now she is excited to be giving back to the sport and the community by joining JustWorld International as their newest ambassador. JustWorld International is dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty by funding local partners around the world helping children thrive. JustWorld’s involvement in the equestrian community provides unique resources for fundraising and a unique network for raising awareness.

“I am very excited to join the team of ambassadors at JustWorld International,” expressed Adell. “I understand the importance of giving back to the community and I am happy to be helping other children around the world. I am looking forward to volunteering at events and representing JustWorld at horse shows around the country.”

As an ambassador, Adell will act as a spokesperson for JustWorld in her local community, among friends, and at horse shows. She has also pledged to make an annual donation to benefit JustWorld, in addition to volunteering time to JustWorld events. JustWorld ambassadors can also choose to host fundraising efforts such as bake sales and Horseless Horse Shows. All proceeds from an ambassador’s event will go directly to a JustWorld project.

JustWorld International was founded in 2003 by equestrian, Jessica Newman. “I started to realize that there was a lot more out there and that I was living in a very privileged circle,” said Newman. “I’d done everything I wanted in the sport as a competitor and it was time to dedicate my life to doing something for others.”

For the past fifteen years, hundreds of Rider Ambassadors and supporters, including juniors, amateurs, and professionals from around the world, have changed thousands of children’s lives by helping with fundraising efforts and spreading awareness.

Adell is a 12-year-old junior athlete who is quickly climbing the ranks in equestrian sport, having recently been named Reserve Circuit Champion in the Large Children’s Pony Hunter division with Spellbound, after winning the championship honors during World Champion Hunter Rider week at the Winter Equestrian Festival. A Bloomfield Hills, Michigan native, Adell shows under the tutelage of trainers Gary and Kelsey Duffy of Little Brook Farms, based in Wellington, Florida.

CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute Hosted by Anderson Cooper Airs Sunday, December 7 at 8 p.m. EST

December 5, 2014 – Wellington, FL – Juan Pablo Romero Fuentes was only 23 years old when he converted his family’s home into a safe haven for the children of Jocotenango and the outlying community in Guatemala. The building offers more than education for the students: it is a shelter away from the everyday street violence, drug dealing and illegal activities that continue to plague a country recovering from a 36-year civil war, rooted in high crime rate and public corruption. On Sunday, December 7, 2014, Romero Fuentes will earn an immeasurable honor for being a Top 10 CNN Hero of 2014. The star-studded CNN Heroes: An All Star Tribute took place Tuesday, November 18, at the iconic American Museum of Natural History in New York City and airs globally on Sunday, December 7, at 8:00 p.m. EST.

Romero Fuentes will join fellow CNN Top 10 Heroes on stage during the eighth annual CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute, hosted by Anderson Cooper, where he will be spotlighted as a CNN Top 10 Hero.

Moments such as these symbolize the life-changing impact JustWorld has through their influential work in disadvantaged countries. Romero Fuentes was the only Hero nominated from Latin America for his good works.

Highlights of the evening will include musical performances by multi-platinum vocalist Trisha Yearwood, who will perform her new single, PrizeFighter, and by nine-time Grammy-Award winning guitarist and singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow.

Los Patojos will receive $25,000 in recognition of Romero Fuentes and JustWorld’s avant-garde work to positively impact the lives of children in Guatemala. A never before seen video of Romero Fuentes’ work at Los Patojos will be introduced by Latino born American actor John Leguizamo.

Viewers can also look forward to celebrity presenters Benedict Cumberbatch, Taye Diggs, Christina Hendricks, Rosie Perez, Kelly Ripa, Kathy Griffin, Uzo Aduba, Morgan Spurlock and Questlove.

Viewers are encouraged to donate to Juan Pablo’s project, Los Patojos, during the CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute. CNN Heroes sponsor Subaru will match each dollar donated, up to a total of $250,000, starting at 8:00 p.m. EST on Sunday, December 7th. The matching dollars will be divided, proportionately, among the Top 10 non-profits. The maximum individual donation eligible for matching is $5,000. For any donations made in larger amounts, Subaru will match the first $5,000. To be eligible, donations must be made through Amazon Payments via CNNHeroes.com. Donations will be accepted through Amazon Payments on the CNN Heroes website, transaction-free, through December 31, 2014.

Los Patojos has helped more than 1,000 children from the streets of Jocotenango, located just outside of Antigua, Guatemala’s former capital. Aptly named “The Little Ones”, JustWorld International has supported Los Patojos since 2008, helping to provide education, nutrition, health and hygiene as well as leadership and cultural development programs for children and young adults aged 4 to 21. It offers access to knowledge in a safe and artistic environment that promotes learning, growth, and development in an encouraging and empowering way. Through Romero Fuentes’ work, commitment and pioneering vision, JustWorld has opened new doors for children in need, providing hope within the walls of Los Patojos.

The Peabody Award-winning and Emmy-nominated CNN Heroes initiative honors individuals who are making extraordinary contributions to help improve the lives of others. Since its inception, CNN Heroes has received tens of thousands of submissions from more than 100 countries and profiled more than 200 heroes. It is because of JustWorld supporters, as well as friends, family and fans of Juan Pablo Romero Fuentes, that Los Patojos has the opportunity to shine as a beacon of hope during the broadcast.

This is the second time a JustWorld project’s founder has been named a CNN Top 10 Hero, demonstrating the real impact JustWorld makes every day on those in need worldwide. In 2008, Phymean Noun, founder of the People Improvement Organization (PIO), was awarded this title and received a grant to continue her work in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. PIO funds life-changing education, nutrition, health and hygiene, as well as leadership and cultural development programs at two schools: Stung Mean Chey and Borey Keila. JustWorld has continued to act as a major supporter of PIO since 2004, funding the construction of and supporting operational costs for the two schools. With JustWorld’s crucial assistance, PIO has helped more than 1,000 children pave their way to a brighter future.

To donate to Los Patojos, the JustWorld Guatemala Project Partner, please click here. The Samuel-Sanford Family of Canada is matching all new donations to the project up to a maximum of $100,000 for the construction of the new school as part of the 2014 JustWorld International Adopt a Project Campaign. By donating now, you will double your gift and benefit JustWorld in raising funds to finish the construction for Los Patojos. The school will allow for the alternative education program to double their capacity, expand programming and increase sustainability through fund-generating activities. Every dollar makes a difference, especially when it is doubled in the Los Patojos Project Completion Challenge!

JustWorld Launches in Liege with Ambassador Laura Mathy

Liege, Belgium – November 7, 2014 – JustWorld International has had a thrilling year of international recognition from St. Gallen to New York, from the World Equestrian Games (WEG) to the LA Masters. With tremendous efforts from Junior Ambassador Laura Mathy and founder Jessica Newman, JustWorld can now add Liege, Belgium, to its list. JustWorld launched its Belgian presence at the Jumping International de Liege CSI*** this past weekend, October 28 – November 2, with spectacular success. The events concluded with Enda Carrol’s Ashford Farm coming on board as a partner and raising over € 2000 for the organization.

When Laura Mathy, co-captain of Team Cambodia in the Ambassador Team Challenge, realized that she was the only JustWorld Ambassador showing in Liege for their CSI*** event, she took responsibility to cultivate awareness for JustWorld’s mission. JustWorld International (JWI) is a not-for-profit, humanitarian organization that funds life-changing education, nutrition, health and hygiene, and leadership and cultural development programs for impoverished children in Cambodia, Honduras, Guatemala, and Colombia.

“Jessica and I were really surprised that I was the only JustWorld ambassador riding in Liege, and from that moment on, our goal was the same: to increase the number of JustWorld ambassadors here,” Mathy said. “There is a whole community that hasn’t been touched yet, and it is my mission, and our mission, to increase awareness about JustWorld International in Belgium and in Europe,” Mathy said.

Several months prior to the CSI*** show, Mathy came up with the idea of having a JustWorld event and reached out to show organizers, mostly comprised of her family and family friends. You may recognize Mathy’s name, as she comes from a premier equestrian family; she is the youngest sister of international show jumper Francois Mathy Jr.

“One month before the event, Jessica [Newman] said she would come to the event for the weekend, which made me really excited and nervous at the same time, because by then I knew everything had to be perfect so she would be very happy to come and see what we had done,” Mathy said.

Mathy, indeed, impressed Newman by creating an exciting event that featured many engaging activities to spread the word about JustWorld. The JustWorld booth, set up by volunteers Peter Carlsberg and Maaret Auvala from Back on Track, featured an autograph signing with show jumping greats John Whitaker and World Champion Philippe Le Jeune and kids’ face painting that attracted children, riders and spectators alike. In addition, tickets were sold and a total of 24 prizes given out to winners, such as saddle pads from Back-on-Track and WPB Group, books from Pierre Beaupère, vouchers for riding equipment, branded baseball hats and polo shirts, just to name a few.

“I had my first public speaking experience with André Jacques Legoupil in the main ring of the show. It went great and people started hearing about JustWorld and getting interested in our cause,” Mathy said.

Friday’s efforts turned out to be a win-win, as show attendees had the opportunity to make silent offers on an adorable miniature pony, donated to JustWorld by the horse show organization. Although there were numerous bids in the silent auction, the prestigious Ashford Farm made the winning bid to take the mini pony home, making it their official mascot! Ashford Farm was so motivated that owner Enda Carrol committed to jump on board, immediately committing to becoming a long-term JustWorld partner and sponsor. Ashford Farm’s riders Marlon Modolo Zanotelli, Angelica Augustsson and Pieter Clemens are all in the process of becoming JustWorld International Ambassadors as well.

“I think this event in Belgium was a very successful event. It turned out to be a great start for growth in the JustWorld community in Europe and in Belgium,” Mathy concluded.

Hannah Selleck and Laura Kraut Win Longines L.A. Masters Charity Class for JustWorld in Style

Laura Kraut dressed as Catwoman for the occasion.

Los Angeles, Calif. – October 2, 2014 – Eight months ago, top West Coast rider Hannah Selleck joined JustWorld International as an Ambassador. Since then, in support of the charity, she has jumped from a plane, traveled halfway around the world and, most recently, tackled a 1.35m speed track dressed as Batman’s villain, Poison Ivy. Paired with Olympic Champion Laura Kraut, who dressed as Catwoman, the JustWorld team captured the win in a unique charity class at the inaugural Longines Los Angeles Masters with the fastest time by over two seconds.

The Longines L.A. Masters, the American leg of the Masters Grand Slam Indoor Circuit, turned the Los Angeles Convention Center into an equestrian mecca. One of the most talked about events over the four days of international competition was Friday night’s costume charity class. Twenty-two top riders traded their breeches and show coats for creative costumes and JustWorld International made history as the winning charity team of the flagship American event.

The Wellington, Florida, USA and Paris, France based non-profit organization was one of 11 charities selected to compete in the charity class. JustWorld’s dedicated and ongoing partner, Longines, who is also the title sponsor of the Masters Grand Slam, generously sponsored the JustWorld Team. The photographer’s flash illuminated this generosity when capturing an image of the $35,000 check presented to JustWorld.

“The charity class was about going out there and having fun while raising awareness for our individual charities,” Kraut said. “Of course, Hannah and I were still competitive; we wanted to win for JustWorld, but this was about helping JustWorld raise money to continue to do their good work. This was my opportunity to help, and it was great fun.”

Not only did Selleck and Kraut lay down the quickest times of the night, but Poison Ivy and Catwoman came alive with their fantastic costumes and a professional make-up team to perfect the look. The extra efforts earned the pair scores of 9, 9 and 8 from celebrity style judges Jeannie Mai, Sebastian Roché and Ariana Rockefeller.

Selleck remarked, “A charity class at an event like the L.A. Masters is such a great way to raise awareness for charities like JustWorld. Laura and I went first and set a time that couldn’t be beat, so we raised money and awareness for JustWorld. And to do it all in costume made it that much more fun.”

Selleck and Kraut were not the only JustWorld Ambassadors on sight at the L.A. Masters. Frenchman Kevin Staut, currently ranked fifth on the Longines World Ranking List, choreographed the introduction skit to the charity class. Staut dressed as the evil Joker, while Philipe Rozier and Olivia Chowdry fought Gotham’s brutes as Batman’s faithful sidekick, Robin. The antiheroes rode into the arena on a Harley Davidson, generously loaned to JustWorld for use during the skit by Harley-Davidson Buell of Glendale.

“I didn’t know that I would be the Joker for the charity class skit,” Staut laughed. “Jessica Newman, the founder of JustWorld, knows me too well. She didn’t tell me until right before. It was so much fun riding the Harley-Davidson, and the skit was hilarious. Philipe had to fight me, and it definitely earned a few laughs.”

Shortly after the conclusion of the first edition of the Longines Los Angeles Masters Grand Slam, Staut caught a plane to travel to the JustWorld Guatemala Project, alongside French actress, Marina Hands, and JustWorld Founder and Executive Director, Jessica Newman. Staut was excited to be able to see firsthand the good work of CNN Hero, Juan Pablo Romero Fuentes. While visiting, Staut will conduct a clinic that will directly benefit JustWorld International and Fuentes’ project, Los Patojos.

JustWorld Ambassadors Compete in Star-Studded Event at Longines LA Masters Charity Class

Olympic Champion and JustWorld Ambassador Laura Kraut with Andretti S.

Spotlights shine on Olympian Laura Kraut and West Coast star Hannah Selleck

Los Angeles, CA – September 23, 2014 – The Longines Los Angeles Masters, promising to be one of the most spectacular sporting events of the equestrian world, is making history at the Los Angeles Convention Center September 25-28, 2014, with JustWorld International included in its charitable giving commitment. The Wellington, FL, USA and Paris, France based non-profit organization is one of 10 charities selected to compete in the charity class, and will be represented by JustWorld Ambassadors Olympian Laura Kraut and top West Coast rider Hannah Selleck. JustWorld’s dedicated and ongoing partner Longines will generously be sponsoring the JustWorld Team.

First established at the Paris Gucci Masters in 2011, the Longines Masters Grand Slam has exemplified a long-standing commitment to charitable giving. The charity class continues the tradition of giving back, using a unique class to showcase 10 charities at the inaugural Los Angeles event. The exciting competition not only signifies the promise of the organizers and partners, but also the commitment of the riders representing the organizations most dear to their heart.

On September 27, the charity class will be alive with an array of colors, with Selleck and Kraut at the helm of costumed creativity. Clad in the purple and blue colors of JustWorld International, the representatives will tackle the track in style. At the end of the competition, prizes will not only be given to the winning teams, but also to those in the best costumes with a Style Award, and the JustWorld Ambassadors have promised that they will not disappoint!

JustWorld’s charity class team brings an abundance of experience to the challenge. Olympic Champion Laura Kraut has been involved with the organization since its inception, finding herself drawn to jump for a just world to bring joy to the lives of children who have not been as fortunate. Kraut has continually topped international competition and she’ll leave nothing to chance as she rides as strong as ever in Los Angeles for JustWorld.

Native to Southern California, Hannah Selleck, committed equestrian and daughter of American actor Tom Selleck, joins Kraut as they race against the clock. She recently assisted JustWorld International during the 2014 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in Normandy, France. Selleck’s role as JustWorld Ambassador at the Games was a dual one. As a member of the Ambassadors Committee, Selleck represented JustWorld in her beliefs that the equestrian world should be a vector of unity.   Plus Selleck served as a spokesperson assisting in all public relations and media efforts, as well as raising public awareness for projects funded by JustWorld in Guatemala, Honduras, Cambodia and Colombia.

“Show jumping in costume will definitely be fun. But riding on a team with Laura and on behalf of JustWorld will be a nice combination of good times for a good cause,” remarked Selleck.

JustWorld was born out of the Show Jumping discipline, created by top international competitor Jessica Newman, making the Longines Los Angeles Masters charity class the perfect fit for the non-profit organization. JustWorld has deep roots in the equestrian community, funding projects and placing a focus on children and education in an effort to empower a generation to lift themselves out of poverty.

JustWorld Showed Great Success at the 39th Annual Hampton Classic

JustWorld congratulates Kevin Babington and Shorapur for winning the $250,000 Hampton Classic Grand Prix.

Bridgehampton, NY – September 13, 2014 – JustWorld International and the 39th Annual Hampton Classic Horse Show joined together once again and raised over $9,000 at the prestigious event held in Bridgehampton, NY. The Hampton Classic Horse Show took place August 24-31, 2014 and brought a competition live with action from top competitors. JustWorld was onsite with their mission in mind: to raise funds for children in impoverished communities around the globe. JustWorld helps to provide them with education, nutrition, health and hygiene, and leadership and cultural development programs.

Throughout the exciting week of showing, JustWorld International ran various fundraising events that ultimately yielded an incredible result.

The Horseless Horse Show, held on August 29, was a great hit during the Exhibitors’ Party with 50 participants gathering in the Grand Prix Field for the fun-filled event.

Unsurprisingly, the Silent Auction held in the VIP tent had a great turnout, which can be largely attributed to the many generous donations from Hampton Classic Vendors such as KEP Italia and Dressage Collection.

The Dressage Collection party was a blast, as it offered live music, champagne and shopping. The three-hour soiree was a crowd favorite and 10 percent of the proceeds went to JustWorld International, making it a fun shopping experience while still giving back.

The fundraising efforts didn’t stop there, as the JustWorld Children’s Jumper Class brought fresh, up-and-coming stars to the show ring and was generously sponsored by Carolynn Rockafellow and Olivia Lopez-Balboa.

Throughout the duration of the week, horse treat sales were racking up at the Information Booth and horses loved them, as they were homemade by The Acevedo Family & The Beaumont Family. With all proceeds going to JustWorld International, the horses were not the only ones smiling over the handmade delights.

JustWorld International enjoyed a successful week of fundraising, thanks to the support they received from the 39th Annual Hampton Classic Horse Show. JustWorld looks forward to making next year another success!

Hannah Selleck Named JustWorld International’s Ambassador Representative of the WEG

Hannah Selleck at the 2014 Winter Equestrian Festival. Photo by: SportFot.

Caen, France – July 23, 2014 – JustWorld International is pleased to announce that Hannah Selleck will be their ambassador at the upcoming Games in Normandy, France. As one of only four charities chosen, this selection provides JustWorld an unparalleled opportunity to benefit from the outstanding visibility offered by this exceptional international equestrian event.

“It’s a huge honor that Hannah will be both a JustWorld Ambassador and our representative at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ 2014 in Normandy,” JustWorld Executive Director Jessica Newman enthused. “The test event in France was fantastic. We’re looking forward to fabulous Games full of excitement and emotion!

A Dual Role for Selleck

Selleck’s role as ambassador will be a dual one. Her selection puts her on the Games Ambassadors’ Committee, a small group of distinctive ambassadors who have a connection with equestrianism. The stated purpose of the organizers in creating this committee is to bring together well-known figures, all of whom believe that the equestrian world should be a vector of unity. In this role, Hannah will use her image and her voice to further that goal.

According to Newman, in her role as JustWorld Ambassador, Selleck will also be the spokesperson assisting at all PR, media, and VIP events, raising public awareness of projects funded by JustWorld in Guatemala, Honduras, Cambodia, and Colombia.

JustWorld has a spot in the heart of the Games Village, and from there Selleck will participate in ‘Meet and Greet’ events, autograph sessions, and other activities which are in the planning stages over the next few weeks.

“Hannah’s high profile and outgoing personality,” states Newman, “will help JustWorld to achieve the goal of becoming a household name at every level of equestrian sport, and to reach out to many new international equestrians coming from all over the world for the Games.”

JustWorld was born out of the Show Jumping discipline, of which Selleck is a part, but the hope is that it will eventually have as much support from all the different disciplines present at the Games, as it currently does in Show Jumping. As ambassador, Hannah will be instrumental in moving toward this goal.

“I am so honored that JustWorld has chosen me to be their official ambassador at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ 2014 in Normandy. I can’t think of a better way than this to participate,” explained Selleck. “Of course, at some point I hope to represent the United States at this international event, but I look forward to being a voice for the positive work that JustWorld does.”

More about Hannah Selleck

As owner and operator of Descanso Farm, Selleck is combining her equestrian knowledge with her desire to develop top sport horses. Over the past decade, the emerging young talent has made a name for herself in the equitation and jumper disciplines.

Selleck is a committed equestrian as well as a model for equestrian fashion. With a love of horses that began at the tender age of four atop a tiny pony, she has carried her passion through her teenage years and into adulthood. Selleck trained with Karen Healey for the duration of her junior riding career, accomplishing a series of prestigious medal finals victories such as winning the 2008 North American Young Riders Championship Team Gold and Individual Gold medals, as well as the Style of Riding Award, and the USEF Talent Search Medal Finals, to cap off a very successful junior career. Olympians Will Simpson, Leslie Burr Howard, and Ian Millar have all supplemented her training over the years.

She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies from Loyola Marymount University in 2011, while interning with a public relations firm in Beverly Hills, and upon graduation made the decision to follow the path of becoming a top international show jumper. Currently riding with Ilan Ferder, Selleck recently competed successfully at the 2014 Spruce Meadows Summer Series in Calgary, Canada, which hosts the best show jumping athletes and horses from throughout the world.

Along with competing show jumpers, Selleck is involved in breeding and developing her own string of young horses at Descanso Farm. She has recently left her native California and is currently living in New York City. When her show schedule will allow, she plans to join a JWI trip, hopefully within the coming year.

JustWorld International Official Charity Partner of the Longines/Reem Acra FEI World Cup Finals

JustWorld International Hostesses.

GL Events, the organizer of the Longines/Reem Acra FEI Show Jumping and Dressage World Cup Finals, once again supports the inspiring humanitarian organization JustWorld International during the flagship event of the spring 2014 schedule. From April 17-21, at the Lyon Eurexpo located in the beautiful French countryside, JustWorld takes center stage as the official charity partner. JustWorld International will increase awareness throughout the five-day competition, raising funds for its various projects to help impoverished children across the world.

JustWorld returns to Lyon

Equita’ Lyon and GL Events are among the most loyal of JustWorld’s charity partners. In 2012, when JustWorld first emerged in Europe, Sylvie Robert, Director of Equestrian Events at GL Events, immediately offered the opportunity to promote JustWorld’s humanitarian activities. Their warm welcome allowed JustWorld to significantly develop its reputation with the European public, thus contributing to their efforts throughout 11 years to act as a positive catalyst for change in developing countries.

“After two years of successful partnership, both from the human and financial point of view, we were extremely honored that GL Events offered to have us become the official charity partner of the FEI World Cup Finals in 2014,” said Jessica Newman, Executive Director of JustWorld International. “This is an incredible opportunity for us! Beyond uniting more riders with our cause, this opportunity encourages jobs, funds and support for our projects.”

Longines Clear The Jump

Swiss watch brand Longines has become a major partner of the equestrian sports both in the United States and abroad. Longines has chosen to renew its official support to JustWorld International for 2014. JustWorld is the beneficiary of the “Longines Clear The Jump,” where for each Longines obstacle cleared during the final two rounds of competition of the Longines FEI World Cup Jumping Final, Longines will donate to JustWorld’s global projects.

“We could not have imagined ever being so lucky,” said Newman. “Our entire team is deeply grateful to Longines for providing such support to our humanitarian projects around the globe. Longines’ help is essential to our success, providing poor children with a better future.”

JustWorld at the heart of the show

Fifteen dedicated volunteers from various countries have joined JustWorld at the Lyon Eurexpo for the Longines/Reem Acra FEI World Cup Finals. They are working alongside Newman to carry out a number of activities.

JustWorld is set up with an information booth in conjunction with its partner Dy’on. The JustWorld International booth is located in the “Golden Square” parallel to the warm-up arena of the international ring (hall 4.2 stand 4/OR14). Hostesses dressed in the bright blue and purple of JustWorld will provide visitors with all the information to help them understand the mission of the equestrian nonprofit organization and how to get involved. Visitors and supporters will also have the opportunity to participate in various raffles.

The JustWorld raffles

Thanks to its generous partners, JustWorld will hold daily raffles with many surprises and special prizes for its winners. From Friday to Monday, the public will have the chance to win Dada Sport Fashion Clothes and new Dy’on jackets, Jin Stirrups’ stirrups, a helmet offered by Kep Italia, and most importantly, VIP box seats offered by Reem Acra, partner of the FEI World Cup Dressage Final!

Meeting top riders

Autograph sessions with some of the most famous JustWorld Ambassadors are organized for the public, providing fans with the unique opportunity to meet their idols. Kevin Staut, World No. 6, will be one of many riders who will be on site to sign autographs.

Pedro Cebulka “Official JustWorld Mascot”

Pedro Cebulka has once again returned to Equita’ Lyon as the Master of Ceremonies. His famous beard, sparkling top hat and stunning outfits designed with the exclusive JustWorld colors allow Pedro to never go unnoticed. Accompanied by his “Pedrettes,” elegant hostesses dressed in the JustWorld colors, he will be on hand during all awards ceremonies, flashing a smile and raising awareness for JustWorld.

American Invitational Raises over $15,000 for Official Charity Partner, JustWorld International

JustWorld International hostesses presented the awards for the $200,000 American Invitational, presented by G & C Farm.

Miami, FL – April 11, 2014 – The gates to Sun Life Stadium opened to usher in nearly 6,000 spectators last Saturday for the 42nd Gene Mische American Invitational, presented by G & C Farm. The event raised more than $15,000 for JustWorld, with all proceeds benefiting their mission of raising funds within the global equestrian community to help provide education, nutrition, healthcare and vocational training programs to children in impoverished communities around the world.

“We have had a relationship with JustWorld International for a long time,” Matt Morrissey of Stadium Jumping said. “They are our official charity partner at all of our events, and we are thrilled to be able to help them pursue their mission of helping impoverished children around the world. Gene Mische, who was such a crucial part of the American Invitational, helped Jessica [Newman] when the organization was still young. It has been a wonderful relationship, and they always go above and beyond to help make our events a success.”

As each spectator entered the stadium, the JustWorld team was on hand at the Information Booth, where they sold programs and answered all questions about the American Invitational. JustWorld earned a percentage of the proceeds from the program sales, and for every ticket purchased with the promo code JUSTWORLD they raised an additional $10. The JustWorld volunteers stood out in their co-branded apparel designed and sponsored by PoloGear. The co-branded shirts are beautifully designed with sublimated graphics and the purple and blue colors for which JustWorld is known. The shirts are currently available here.

Just before the jump-off, JustWorld volunteers walked onto the field with Miami Dolphins legends Bob Griese and Nat Moore. Onlookers sat on the edge of their seats as the stadium-wide benefit drawing was announced. Pablo Barrios was the first name pulled, winning the Miami Dolphins Sidelines Club Package. The package featured four Ford Sidelines Club Passes and Lower Level Seats. Two lucky winners won a meet and greet with legendary Miami Dolphins quarterback, Bob Griese, also taking home his autographed throwback jersey and a signed NFL football.

“JustWorld International was a major help in making the 42nd American Invitational a true success,” Morrissey concluded. “They not only ran the information booth and sold programs, but they helped in the VIP tent, and their JustWorld hostesses assisted with the awards presentation. Their enthusiasm and dedication to our events always makes it an easy decision to have them as our official charity partner. They bring something special to every event.”

Founded in 2003 by Jessica Newman, JustWorld International is a not-for-profit, humanitarian organization, which funds life-changing nutrition, health and hygiene, education, as well as leadership and cultural development programs for impoverished children in Cambodia, Honduras and Guatemala. There are currently more than 500 Rider and Technical Official Ambassadors representing 40 different countries, whose efforts to support JustWorld’s projects have raised in excess of $6.5 million to date.
