Baborówko, May 29, 2022 – The most prestigious class of Equestrian Festival Baborówko – CCI4*-S – ended with the victory of Felix Vogg (SUI). His compatriot Nadja Minder was the best in the CCI4*-L.

The jumping test in the CCI4*-S, for the prize of the Patron of the Show – Mr. Roman Roszkiewicz – proved to be difficult. In view of the mistakes of the rivals, the leader Felix Vogg (SUI) aboard the 14-year-old Colero could afford one knockdown. It was him that ultimately stood on the highest step of the podium and took home the grand prize of approx. EUR 21,000, with a finishing score of 33,6. Second place went to Germany’s Michael Jung with Kilcandra Ocean Power. Jerome Robine (GER) did great in the jumping with Black Ice, adding points for just two seconds over the time meant that the pair went up into third place.

“I’ve been here two times already and the show is evolving really quickly. I’m happy to come back. The biggest challenge was beating the two guys next to me!” said the smiling winner.

The highest-placed Pole was Mateusz Kiempa riding Lassban Radovix, who finished eighth. Only two combinations manager to go clear and in time – one of them from Poland – Joanna Pawlak and Fantastic Frieda.

In the CCI4*-L, for the trophy of LOTTO, the win belonged to Nadja Minder (SUI) aboard the 15-year-old Toblerone. Belgian Jarno Verwimp jumped up into the second riding Mahalia, and Australia’s Lissa Green topped off the podium with Billy Bandit.

“Today’s course was tough enough, but I made a plan after I watched the other riders and I’m really happy. Showjumping used to be our weak phase, but I think I figured it out now! [Toblerone] is an outstanding eventer and I’m really proud of him. It’s an amazing show here, really professional, warm, and welcoming,” said the winner.

The top 3 in the CCI3*-S, for the trophy of KUHN Maszyny Rolnicze, belonged to German athletes. Anna Lena Schaaf kept her lead with Lagona OLD until the end. Second place went to Vanessa Bölting with Ready To Go W, and third to zamknął Brandon Schäfer-Gehrau with Fraeulein Frieda 10.

The cross-country trials ended the rivalry in the CCI2*-S and CCIYH2*-S. In the two-star class, for the trophy of Badix, the best rider was Jerome Robine (GER) with Avatar 42. Home athlete Paweł Warszawski with Lucinda Ex Ani 4 was second, and Amanda Andersson (SWE) with Kokos finished third. The best young horse of the CCIYH2*-S, for the trophy of Stadnina Kunowo, was Tullibards Bennysambassador ridden by Emma Brüssau. Second place went to Jasper Peeters (BEL) with Cadell Z, and third to Sanne de Jong (NED) with Larosaleen W.

A Prize Pool of Over 90,000 EUR during the Equestrian Festival Baborówko 2021

Baborówko, March 11th, 2021 — On the last weekend of May, Baborówko near Poznań will traditionally host Equestrian Festival Baborówko – an international eventing show. 6 international classes: CCI4*-S, CCI4*-L, CCI3*-S, CCI2*-S, CCIYH2*-S for 6-year-old horses, and a CCI1* will be played out from the 27th until the 30th of May. The CCI4*-S will once again serve as the Polish Eventing Championships for senior riders.

Thanks to the support of the patron of the show, Mr Roman Roszkiewicz, Equestrian Festival Baborówko will once again present a remarkable prize pool in Polish eventing. The money in the CCI4*-S, the main class of the show, will reach over 70,000 EUR, and the winner will earn a cash prize of 22,000 EUR. “The cooperation with Mr Roman Roszkiewicz, the patron of Equestrian Festival Baborówko, has been our great honor for a few years now,” says Henryk Święcicki jr., the director of the show. “Especially now, in these unique times, the support for professional sport is extremely important. That is why we are very grateful that we can once again count on Mr Roman Roszkiewicz to help us create Equestrian Festival Baborówko.”

The CCI4*-S will be the playground of Polish Eventing Championships for seniors – for the third time in Baborówko. Poland’s most titled eventer – Paweł Spisak – will have the chance to defend his eight title. Less experienced riders or those with younger horses can compete in the national CNC 100 class.

Two driving classes for pairs are a novelty this year. Both L and N classes will be played out over two days: dressage on Saturday and combined marathon on Sunday. “The modernization of our infrastructure, which we finished last year, makes it possible for us to organize various types of shows. Baborówko now offers two new quartz arenas with drainage systems and a professional grass hippodrome,” says Henryk Święcicki jr.

The show in Baborówko is being organized during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, but also during the Equine Herpes Virus epidemic. “Many years of experience in organizing equestrian competitions allow us to prepare the event with the highest safety standards. We are more than prepared to host Equestrian Festival Baborówko in a safe way for both people and horses,” Henryk Święcicki jr. summarizes.

Equestrian Festival Baborówko 2021 will take place at Baborówko Equestrian Centre, from the 27th until the 30th of May, 2021.

Equestrian Festival Baborówko 2020 Is Cancelled

Baborówko, 27 March 2020 – In consequence of the global epidemiological situation, making it our priority to take care of the health and safety of our riders, audiences, and all people involved in the organization of the event, we have decided to cancel Equestrian Festival Baborówko that was due to take place in the second half of May 2020.

“Taking into consideration the epidemiological threat, we have made the decision to cancel this year’s Equestrian Festival Baborówko. We believe that the world will soon return to its normal rhythm, but as for now our thoughts go out to public health workers, and we ourselves are taking necessary hygienic precautions to assure that Baborówko Equestrian Centre can safely function on a daily basis and we can continue to carry out ongoing investments,” says Henryk Święcicki Jr, show director.

Equestrian Festival Baborówko was meant to present new investments, co-funded with funds from the Ministry of Sport, for the first time. “We continue to develop the sport infrastructure in Baborówko. Currently we are working on a new, modern hippodrome, measuring approximately 7,000 m2 and a warm-up arena of 2,100 m2. Both arenas will be constructed with professional quartz footing and drainage systems that will allow the event to be carried out regardless of weather conditions. The project also includes a new water complex measuring 1,000 m2 and a grass hippodrome of 10,0000 m2 with a drainage and irrigation system. We hope that the athletes and audiences will have the chance to take advantage of our Centre’s modernized facilities during the September event, Baborówko Horse Sale Show,” summarized Henryk Święcicki Jr.

Baborówko Horse Sale Show will take place from the 25th until the 27th of September. The event will host international classes of CCI4*-S, CCI3*-S and CCI2*-S, an auction of horses with predispositions for eventing and showjumping, and the prestigious Polish Eventing Cup Final.

The organizers would like to invite everyone to Baborówko Horse Sale Show in September and to the next edition of Equestrian Festival Baborówko in May 2021.

Baborówko, 6 March 2020 — Once again during the Festival, the total prize money for the international classes will reach approx. 100 000 EUR. What’s most important, the CCI4*-L class will be the last chance to achieve the minimum eligibility requirements to perform at the 2020 Olympics for riders from those countries that have already secured their ticket to Tokyo. The cross-country course for the class will reach the distance of approx. 6000 metres, with 40 jumps to go over in about 10 minutes.

The class with the highest prize pool will be the CCI4*-S, where the winner will cash a cheque for 100 000 PLN.
