Champion Combined Driver Chester Weber Joins Arenus as Official Arenus Ambassador

St. Louis, MO (May 5, 2011) – Arenus, a premier provider of innovative health and nutritional products for pets and horses, is pleased to announce that champion combined driver Chester Weber has joined Arenus as an official Arenus Ambassador. As the eight-time USEF National Four-In-Hand Combined Driving Champion, Weber has proven to be an unstoppable force in the world of combined driving and most recently won the FEI Horse Team division at Live Oak International, one of the premiere combined driving events in North America.

As the United States’ most decorated combined driver, Weber also holds an illustrious international combined driving record. During the Four-In-Hand FEI World Championships in Beesd, The Netherlands, Weber became the first American to win an individual medal. Weber not only finished first in the dressage phase, but also took home the Individual Silver Medal. In addition to this prestigious win, Weber has been ranked in the top ten internationally since 1999.

Weber, who has driven for the United States in three World Equestrian Games, is pleased to be an Arenus Ambassador. “We have used Arenus products for quite a while and believe they are quite beneficial. We know the Arenus products are ones we can really trust,” Weber said.

Olympic Dressage Rider Steffen Peters Joins Arenus as Official Arenus Ambassador

St. Louis, MO (March 31, 2011) – Arenus, a premier provider of innovative health and nutritional products for pets and horses, is pleased to announce that Olympic Dressage rider Steffen Peters has joined Arenus as an official Arenus Ambassador. Peters, who is fresh off a staggering victory at the World Dressage Masters in Palm Beach, Florida, exemplifies talent and horsemanship.  Scoring an impressive 84.550% in the Grand Prix freestyle, Peters and his mount Ravel, owned by Akiko Yamazaki, continued a winning streak that has made Americans proud over the past years.  Peters made history at the 2010 World Equestrian Games in Kentucky when he rode Ravel to the bronze medal in the Grand Prix Special.

Peters, a native of Germany, became a United States citizen in 1992. He competed on his first U.S. team during the 1996 Atlanta Olympics when the team took home the bronze medal. At the 2006 World Equestrian Games, Peters and Ravel helped the U.S. team capture the bronze medal. At the 2008 Olympics, Peters and Ravel finished fourth but set the dressage ring on fire a year later when they won the FEI Rolex World Cup Final in Las Vegas. Peters and Ravel then went on to sweep the Grand Prix, the Special and the Freestyle at Aachen, a feat never before mastered by an American rider.

Arenus Announces Sponsorship of Challenge of the Americas at International Polo Club Palm Beach to Benefit Breast Cancer Research

Wellington, FL (March 10, 2011) – Arenus, a premier provider of innovative health and nutrition products for pets and horses, is pleased to announce they are sponsors of The Challenge of the Americas, a Grand Prix International Musical Freestyle Quadrille Team Challenge and Polo Extravaganza to benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and Play for P.I.N.K. (Prevention, Immediate diagnosis, New technology, Knowledge). The Challenge of the Americas will be held at the International Polo Club Palm Beach on March 12.

“The Challenge of the Americas is well known in the equestrian world for its spectacular performances and the fact that it raises money to fight breast cancer. Arenus is pleased to be part of the 10th Anniversary of The Challenge of the Americas and we are excited to announce that we are sponsoring the polo playing during the event,” said Kristen Galvan, an Arenus Sales Specialist for the southeast.

The Challenge of the Americas is an annual fundraiser and a one-of-a-kind affair that highlights the equestrian sports of dressage and polo.  Riders competing in the event make up a “Who’s Who” of top equestrians from the United States, Canada, Latin American and Europe. The Challenge Gala, an elegant evening of dinner and dancing, gets underway immediately following The Challenge of the Americas competition. An awards presentation will be featured and guests will have the chance to meet and socialize with riders and judges.

Arenus Sponsored Rider Shawn Flarida Appears on Horses in the Morning Radio Show

St. Louis, MO (February 28, 2011) – Shawn Flarida, an Arenus Ambassador and the first rider in history to become the National Reining Horse Association’s (NRHA) Four Million Dollar Rider, recently took to the airwaves on the Horse Radio Network’s “Horses In The Morning” radio show. Flarida spoke with hosts Glenn the Geek and Jamie Jennings from his farm in Springfield, Ohio.

During the radio show, Glenn the Geek congratulated Flarida on the recent news that Flarida will be inducted into the NRHA Hall of Fame. “It’s such an honor,” Flarida said, “My peers are there, as well as my brother, and I have always wanted to be there with them.”

Flarida, who is an ambassador for the sport of reining, has a long list of accomplishments to his name including winning nine All American Quarter Horse Congress Futurity Open Championships, five NRHA Futurity Open Championships, multiple NRHA Derby Championships, as well as individual and team gold medals at the World Equestrian Games.

Arenus Sponsored Rider Shawn Flarida Tops Four Million Dollar Mark

St. Louis, MO (February 8, 2011) – Arenus, a premier provider of innovative health and nutritional products for pets and horses, is pleased to announce that Shawn Flarida, an Arenus Ambassador, is the first rider in history to become the National Reining Horse Association’s (NRHA) Four Million Dollar Rider. The NRHA has reported that Flarida’s earnings are $4,023,885.

“We are so excited for Shawn and couldn’t be prouder,” said Arenus Business Manager Simone Pophal, DVM, Ph.D. “Shawn reached the four million dollar mark during the 2010 NRHA Futurity in Oklahoma.”

Flarida, who was already the NHRA’s first Three Million Dollar Rider, topped four million dollars with rides in the finals on Quistador, owned by Augustine and Gaynia Revenberg, and Shine Chic Shine, owned by Amabile & Strusiner. A tie for third in the $100,000 NRHA World Championship Shootout on Wimpys Little Chic, owned by Arcese Quarter Horses USA, helped Flarida earn more than $100,000 to become the NRHA’s first Four Million Dollar Rider.

Rodrigo Pessoa and Champ 163 Win Arenus Performance and Conditioning Award during Third Week of the Winter Equestrian Festival

Wellington, FL (February 7, 2011) – Brazilian Olympic Gold medalist Rodrigo Pessoa rode away as the winner of the Arenus Performance and Conditioning Award aboard Champ 163 during the third week of the 2011 FTI Winter Equestrian Festival. Champ 163, owned by Legacy Stables LLC, finished ninth in the 1.50m Jumper Classic.

“Rodrigo is a legend in the show jumping world and it was a thrill to present him with the Arenus Performance and Conditioning Award,” said Melissa Bennington, northeast Sales Specialist for Arenus. “Rodrigo made history and broke a world record when he and Baloubet du Rouet won the World Cup Final three years in a row. Rodrigo has also competed and medaled in multiple Olympics and Pan Am Games and it was an honor to meet him and present him with the Arenus award.”

The Performance and Conditioning Award is sponsored by Arenus, a premier provider of innovative health and nutrition products for pets and horses, and is given to one horse during the show whose conditioning enhances its performance. Kristen Galvan, an Arenus Sales Specialist for the southeast, was also thrilled to meet Rodrigo. “It’s not often you get to meet someone who has made such an impact on the show jumping world,” she said.

Arenus Sponsors American Riding Instructors Association and Offers Incentives to Trainers through Professional Referral Program

St. Charles, MO (December 27, 2010) – Arenus, a premier provider of innovative health and nutritional products for pets and horses, is proud to announce that they are continuing their sponsorship of the American Riding Instructors Association (ARIA). In addition to sponsoring the ARIA, Arenus is offering incentives to trainers who sign up for the Arenus Professional Referral Program.

“Many equine professionals have requested that Arenus develop a program that would reward them for promoting Arenus products,” said Simone Pophal, DVM, PhD, Arenus Business Manager. “They asked and we delivered. We are pleased to announce our exciting Professional Referral Program (PRP).”

Vets Enjoy Arenus Dinner Cruise at American Assoc. of Equine Practitioners Convention

St. Louis, MO (December 20, 2010) – Veterinarians attending the American Association of Equine Practitioners Annual Convention & Trade Show in Baltimore, Maryland, had the chance to enjoy the panoramic views of Baltimore’s Inner Harbor thanks to a dinner cruise sponsored by Arenus. During the cruise, the veterinarians not only enjoyed dinner but also took part in an educational evening that proved to be a highlight of the convention.
