Samuel Parot and Bahira S Win Lactanase 1.35m Open Stake at ESP Summer III

Wellington, FL – August 28, 2019 – ESP Summer III competition wrapped up this past weekend with the $10,000 Lactanase 1.35m Open Stake at Equestrian Village. After 12 of the total 25 entries returned for the jump-off, Samuel Parot of Wellington, FL aboard his mount Bahira S clinched the win with a time of 43.704 seconds. Diego Perez Bilbao of Wellington, FL and Orso Del Terriccio, owned by Victoria Vargas D’agostino, followed close behind in 44.393 seconds to claim second place, while another fellow Wellington, FL native, Nataly Leibovitz, finished in third riding her own Alaia Gold Z with a jump-off time of 45.933 seconds.

Hector Loyola designed Sunday’s course, which saw 12 combinations qualify for the second round. Besides the top three champions, two more combinations finished with double clear rounds — Joao Eduardo Ferreira De Carvalho of Delray Beach, FL with Karina Rocha Mello’s entry, Lamina Van’t Gelutt Z, in 46.075 seconds, and Tanimara Macari of Mexico, FL with her mount, Cassinette, in 48.077 seconds.
