Palm Beach Series Schooling Dressage Announced for January 24

Wellington, Florida (January 18, 2017) – The Ridge at Wellington just added yet another show series to its winter line-up. Following an already expansive launch January 4th of their 2017 Palm Beach Series, The Ridge announced they will be holding Tuesday evening dressage classes beginning January 24th, and running every other Tuesday through April 11. Along with their Level 2 Jumper Series, monthly Hunter Derby Days, USEF Equitation Tuesdays, and Turf Tour Grand Prix series, the schooling dressage shows will always feature USEF or USDF certified judges and a full selection of Test of Choice divisions running from the USEF Young Horse Classes through the FEI Grand Prix and Freestyle.

Founded and operated by US Olympic show jumper Nona Garson and George D’Ambrosio, The Ridge’s seasonal circuits in Wellington, Florida and Asbury, New Jersey are known for their focus on the well-being of the horse and a relaxed environment for the riders. To launch their first ever dressage circuit, The Ridge is partnering with Katja Eilers, a German-born FEI trainer and certified Bereiter FN, to introduce schooling dressage shows to their winter line-up.

With the intention of being a catalyst for young, developing horses and riders in the horse sport industry, expanding their series into dressage will be a welcome addition. The weekly schooling shows beginning on January 24 will be held on the grounds of Jim Brandon Equestrian Center, a full service show grounds which includes multiple all-weather arenas, an oversized covered arena, two large barns of permanent stabling, a lunging area, and ample parking for trucks, trailers and cars. Designed to put horses and riders in a new, unique atmosphere, the dressage classes will be held under the lights on every other Tuesday evening. As the series progresses, The Ridge stated that they were also open to securing rated show dates in the future.

For the January 24 debut of the Palm Beach Series Schooling Dressage, Cindi Rose Wylie, a USEF ‘r’ Judge, will set the standard for their inaugural dressage show. For a full prizelist, visit www.TheRidgeFarm.com, and stabling is available at Jim Brandon Equestrian Center.
