Wellington, FL (April 24, 2012) – Canadian dressage rider Megan Glynn was all smiles after a beautiful Prix St. Georges test aboard her lovely mare Everybody’s Darling during the Global Dressage Festival Nations Cup. Thanks to her impressive performance, Glynn was also awarded the Everglades Dressage Young Rider Achievement Award sponsored by Bethany Peslar, the head trainer and rider at Everglades Dressage. The Young Rider Achievement Award is designed to recognize up-and-coming Juniors and Young Riders.

“I have been riding Everybody’s Darling, a 10-year-old Oldenburg for about six months and I just bought her,” Glynn said. “She is 18 hands and amazing. I just fell in love with her.”

Glynn trains with Canadian Olympic dressage rider Jacqueline Brooks and said her goal is to compete on the Young Riders team. “I am thrilled to win the Young Rider Achievement Award and I want to thank Bethany for presenting me with a beautiful embroidered saddle pad from her farm, Everglades Dressage.”

Peslar believes in the importance of supporting young dressage riders. “Megan is the future of our sport and it was very exciting to watch her ride. She is a lovely rider with a lovely mare. They have a great bond and it will be exciting to watch them in the future,” Peslar said.

Peslar also found great success in the Young Rider program and was a Team Silver medalist at the North American Young Riders Championships in 1998 and 1999. Peslar now rides and trains out of Everglades Dressage in Wellington, where she helps riders achieve success with a focus on correct seat and effective aids. Peslar’s training method makes her a popular clinician, and she is also strong supporter of equestrian programs in the United States. Peslar is a USDF Bronze, Silver and Gold medalist, was the 2006 Reserve Champion in the National Young Adult Grand Prix Championship “Brentina Cup” at Gladstone, and is a successful USEF High Performance Grand Prix competitor. Peslar’s impressive list of accomplishments also includes earning her USDF Gold Medal in 2003 at age 21.
