International Jumping of Dinard CSI5*

From 28 to 31 July, for the 2016 edition of the International Jumping of Dinard, the mythical Val Porée stadium, entirely adorned with pink, will welcome 338 horses and 162 riders from 22 nations.

Days before the Rio Olympic Games kick off, while some of the best riders of the show jumping planet will finalize their preparation in the CSI 5*, highest level of competition in the discipline, the pairs involved in the CSI 1*, CSI 2* and CSI YH (reserved to 7 year-old horses) will be privileged to compete in exceptional conditions.

To conform to the International Equestrian Federation requirements, like in any competition at this level, today afternoon, all the horses were examined by a veterinarian, in order to confirm their health condition before the competition starts.

Danièle Mars, President of Sport Concept, at the helm of the International Jumping of Dinard, said she was very pleased with the weather forecast, ideal for horses and riders, and with the ultimate preparations. “The site is gorgeous, entirely decorated in pink colour, and generously flowered with petunias and hydrangeas. We are fully ready to start the competition and welcome the public, which we hope will be as large and enthusiastic as the precedent years.”

Thursday, seven classes are on the program. From 9.30 am onwards, the CSI 2*riders will confront for the first time on the main grass arena, while the best riders in the world, who take part in the CSI 5*, among which the French Olympic Team, will be on for the first time at 4pm.
