Aachen Symposium “Vital Step” in Organised Growth of Jumping

Lausanne, (SUI), 19 August 2011 – The inaugural two-day Symposium hosted by the FEI, CHIO Aachen and Aachen School of Course Design (ASCD) last month was “a vital step forward in the organised growth of national, regional, FEI 1* and 2* Jumping competitions,” according to John Madden, Acting Chair, FEI Jumping Committee.

The Symposium, entitled “How to develop, organise and sustain national and regional Jumping Events”, was held in Aachen following the World Equestrian Festival and attracted more than 50 delegates involved in event organisation from 25 countries.

“The Symposium was an exceptional opportunity for event organisers planning to hold successful Jumping competitions at national and regional level and was an ideal opportunity to connect with international specialists to share valuable insights,” he said.

“The topics covered were of huge benefit and everyone who attended has come away with vital tips on what makes a successful event and the key ingredients for competition organisation.

Aachen Symposium – Last Chance for Tickets

Lausanne (SUI), 11 July 2011 – The FEI, CHIO Aachen and Aachen School of Course Design (ASCD), which are collaborating for the first time on a two-day Symposium to help the growth of national, regional, FEI 1* and 2* competitions around the world, have a small number of tickets left for the 18-19 July event in Aachen (GER).

“The Symposium will be a perfect opportunity to share vital expertise and know-how to help the successful expansion of jumping competitions internationally,” said course designer Frank Rothenberger, who will be attending the Symposium with more than 50 delegates involved in event organisation from 25 countries.

Speakers from the FEI, CHIO Aachen, ASCD and specialists from 10 countries – Belgium, Brazil, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates and the USA – will deliver invaluable insights into successful event organisation at the Symposium, entitled “How to develop, organise and sustain national and regional Jumping Events”.

The Symposium is being hosted by the FEI, ASCD and CHIO Aachen in co-operation with the Alliance of Jumping Organisers (AJO).

Aachen Symposium to Support Growth of National and Regional Jumping Competitions

Lausanne (SUI), 26 April 2011 – The FEI, CHIO Aachen and Aachen School of Course Design (ASCD) are collaborating for the first time on a two-day Symposium, where vital expertise and knowledge will be shared to support the growth and success of national, regional, FEI 1* and 2* competitions around the world.

The Symposium – entitled “How to develop, organise and sustain national and regional Jumping Events” – will be held at Hotel Novotel in Aachen (GER) on 18-19 July 2011.

The event represents a unique opportunity to engage with leading figures in event organisation from around the world.

Speakers from the FEI, CHIO Aachen, ASCD and specialists from ten countries – Belgium, Brazil, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates and the USA – will come together to deliver invaluable insights into successful event organisation.

Riders4helmets to Host Helmet Safety Symposium Presented by SUCCEED

Aurora, OH – Riders4Helmets, the helmet awareness campaign founded by Jeri Bryant and equine health product SUCCEED Digestive Conditioning Program, will be hosting a “by invitation only” Helmet Safety Symposium. The event will take place January 8, 2011, at the White Horse Tavern, Wellington, FL, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The symposium is sponsored by Troxel Helmets, Charles Owen Helmets, Tipperary Helmets and Samshield Helmets.

The Helmet Safety Symposium has been organized to bring together representatives from various corners of the equestrian world to discuss the importance of wearing helmets, rider safety and to improve helmet designs, rules and more. The event will provide a series of panel discussions throughout the day. Many in attendance will also sit on the panels, including leading equestrians, representatives from the helmet safety testing authorities, helmet manufacturers, equestrian organizations including USEF and the FEI, and neurosurgeons. The chair of the meeting will be Dr. Craig Ferrell, physician to the United States Equestrian Team.

“We are very excited to be part of the Riders4Helmets campaign and to see it continue to expand,” said Lyndsey White, representative from Freedom Health, LLC, makers of SUCCEED and co-manager of the Riders4Helmets campaign. “Since Courtney King Dye’s tragic accident earlier this year, awareness of the importance of helmet safety has grown to the point where we can now bring together different individuals, corporations and organizations all in one place to discuss the issues and, hopefully, being to change things for the better.”

North Florida Dressage Association to Host Events during 2010 Adequan/USDF National Convention and Symposium in Jacksonville, Dec. 1-5

Jacksonville, Fla. – September 22, 2010 – North Florida Dressage Association (NFDA) will be holding a variety of events in Jacksonville, Fla. during the upcoming 2010 Adequan/USDF National Convention and Symposium. From Wednesday through Sunday, Dec. 1-5, equestrian activities will be held at the Hyatt Regency Downtown Riverfront, 223 E. Coastline Drive and the Jacksonville Equestrian Center, 13611 Normandy Blvd. Many events are free and open to the public. Registration and cost is required for some activities and classes. According to Mary O’Brien, event spokesperson, the activities begin on Wednesday and continue through Sunday at the hotel and the equestrian center with classroom instruction on a variety of topics including the  2011 tests for horse and rider competitions and training methods, health and nutrition information, and tips and trends in dressage, to name a few. Riding events will include Dressage on the First Coast, a USEF and USDF recognized dressage show and the USDF/Adequan Symposium designed to instruct riders about the new 2011 USEF dressage tests and how best to perform them in the show ring.
