Jeffery Terreson will have his wonderful artwork on display at this year's American Gold Cup at Old Salem Farm

North Salem, NY – August 30, 2012 – The 2012 American Gold Cup announced today that local artist Jeffery Terreson has joined forces with this year’s event as a sponsor and the provider of exclusive artwork.

The American Gold Cup returns to action its new home at Old Salem Farm, in North Salem, NY. The show is scheduled for September 12th through the 16th, 2012, with the famed $200,000 American Gold Cup, CSI4*-W, a FEI World Cup Qualifying Competition, as the highlight event on the final Sunday.

With over $30 million dollars in improvements, Old Salem Farm, in New York’s Westchester County, is a premier equestrian venue, offering state-of-the-art facilities, surrounded by 120 gorgeous acres.

Born in Bronxville, NY, and raised in nearby in the Bedford/Mt. Kisco area, at an early age, Jeffery Terreson had the pleasure of knowing exactly what he was going to do – be an artist.

Terreson was a four-year Merit Scholar at the Columbus College of Art and Design. Upon graduation he returned to New York City to begin his career in fine art illustration. His artwork has been published in many Fortune 500 companies and appeared in nationally recognized periodicals such as Time, Newsweek, TV Guide, Readers Digest and many more.

After a great deal of success in the New York art scene, in 1996, Terreson moved into a new direction and his fine art status has placed him in the country’s top galleries. He currently works in a Neo-Impressionistic painting style that embraces the textures of both digital and traditional media. Terreson continues to steadily produce pieces, based on his original roots as a painter while exploring and integrating elements of mixed media.

“I am thrilled to partner with American Gold Cup to provide exclusive artwork, especially since this year’s event is at Old Salem Farm, my own backyard and a visual inspiration for me,” said Jeffrey Terreson. “I am looking forward to providing the perfect artistic accompaniment for this special and important horse competition.”

“All of us at Stadium Jumping are very excited to have Jeffery joining us for the American Gold Cup,” said SJI President Michael Morrissey. “The American Gold Cup, at Old Salem Farm, should be one of the year’s most colorful equestrian events. It is only fitting that Jeffery, one of the most colorful artists I’ve seen, will be there to capture it all on canvas.”
