Happy New Year!

Happy New Year from Horses in the South!

I want to wish everyone a Happy, Healthy, Prosperous New Year in 2008 and Best Wishes for Peace and Joy! Thank you to everyone who has been a loyal follower of  www.HorsesintheSouth.com and to those who are new to our site. We are growing by leaps and bounds - we are amazed how many new views we are getting each month! We boasted that we had 200,000 views in September, then when we released our new design as a CMS, we now are getting 490,000+ views a month!

We don't know if our views and visits have increased so much because of our new design or because of our customized Content Management System that we implemented in September 2007 that allows us to very easily add articles into multiple categories and upload pictures to go with them or because the word has gotten out about our site. Whatever the case may be, we thank you for your participation! In the near future, we will be 'opening' this feature up to anyone who wants to write and publish their own articles as a Featured Contributor to our sites, too, so watch for that announcement. Be sure to sign up for our newsletter/mailing list at so that you will be notified of this!

Don't forget to look at our subsidiary sites, www.SouthernHunterJumper.com (THIS WAS THE OFFENDING URL!! NOW CHANGED TO BE THE CORRECT ONE...) and www.SouthernDressage.com, as we are updating them, too. Currently we are adding events to correspond with the discipline-related sites, plus news that is specific to these sites. We also are trying to keep up with the local North and North Central Florida events and news on www.NorthFloridaHorse.com.

(NOTE: Please excuse the URL www.SouthernHunterHumper.com in my email blast. I have puurchased this doamin name so that the domain squatters don't get it & use it for what it 'sounds like'. I will point that domain to SouthernHunterJumper.com. Geez... typos... & I don't even drink!)

We really want to assist the smaller equine businesses get a head start, so be sure to take us up on this 'great offer'. By the way, www.NorthFloridaHorse.com is 'buried' in the search engines as it was actually the beginning of HorsesintheSouth.com, so even it gets a whole lot of views!
