Ocala, FL (January 26, 2015) — Chester Weber, the number one-ranked four-in-hand driver in the world on the FEI rankings, opened up about driving to the top with NBC HorseTalk in a radio interview with Florida Sports Talk Radio, FM 101.1. The special episode, sponsored by Ariat, who is also a new sponsor of Team Weber, featured an up-close-and-personal talk about the horseman’s incredible string of victories last year and his plans for an exciting 2015. “It takes dedication and an undying will to always be better,” Weber expressed. “My team had a fantastic 2014 and we look forward to what 2015 has in store.”

Weber spoke of becoming the first American entry to win the Four–in-Hand at CAIO4* Aachen, personally accepting the victor’s trophy and congratulations at CAI3* Windsor from HRH Queen Elizabeth, defending an 11th USEF National Four-in-Hand Driving Championship and — true to his moniker “Mr. Dressage” — setting an unprecedented record dressage phase score (30.89) at the Kingdom of the Sun CDE. At the 2014 World Equestrian Games in Normandy, Weber earned an Individual Silver medal to add to his collection of a prior-earned WEG US Team Bronze and two additional Individual Silvers.

“To reach number one requires more than just a four-in-hand team. I’m very lucky to work with teams of incredible fellow horsemen and sponsors, like Ariat,” Weber said. “They too are number one.” NBC HorseTalk, presented by Tack Shack of Ocala and hosted by Louisa Barton, is a radio show all about horses — featuring world-renowned guests and set with a delightfully British tone. The radio show will also be remotely broadcasting in March from Live Oak International, the international four-in-hand driving and Grand Prix show jumping competition hosted on the 5,000-acre equestrian estate of the Weber family. From the sounds of what Weber said in his radio interview, the 2015 Live Oak International will not be an event that any equestrian will want to miss.

A dedicated supporter of his horse community — both locally and in the global equestrian community — Weber was honored in December as Parade Marshall for Ocala’s beloved annual Christmas Parade. Weber also mentors rising driving stars through his Live Oak Driver Apprentice Program, served as U.S. Chef d’Equipe for the 2014 FEI World Driving Championships for Singles, and acted as Selector for United States Driving for the Disabled for the 2014 FEI Para-Equestrian Driving World Championships.

In addition, the equestrian serves on the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) High Performance Driving Committee, National Driving Committee, Safety Committee, Hearing Committee, Licensed Officials Committee, Driving Technical Committee, and United States Equestrian Team Foundation (USET) Board of Trustees.
