Hi Everyone!
Whew… I have now recovered from the events and have put a wrap up and photos on our website. So, please take a few minutes and see what’s there and send your friends who are not members to it as well. We’d like to let everyone know how successful things were.

We had a couple of big items that were not sold at the auction and I am going to make a list of them and let our membership and people who visit our website bid on them. They should be up by the weekend. These are really great items and I hope we can sell them and make even more money for our charities. We had a small profit from the event on Friday night and our four charities are going to get close to $600.00 each. If we can sell the other items, that will help them get a little more and as we all know, every bit helps.  Thanks to everyone who donated items for the auction and who bid on them.  Thanks also to our sponsors, National Equine Escrow (a fabulous idea and company), Equine Resources International, LLC (one of the best in the industry; we are sending Lua some get well wishes since she’s been a little under the weather), EasyMileLog (a product that’s a must have!), Tallgrass Animal Acupressure (the authorities on animal acupressure), Callaway Farms (great bedding products and they bought the Country Strong guitar!), and Energy Medicine (she had jury duty and couldn’t attend but she was there with us in “spirit”).

Thanks to everyone who attended, was a speaker and who exhibited. The majority of our exhibitors did a lot of business and many have told me that they are coming back next year. EasyMileLog sold out all the products she brought with her! And, everyone learned valuable information and made some useful contacts. Lots of business was done… again. And, some lifelong friendships were made… again.

Thanks to all of my many friends who attended and who continue to support me and my efforts to help each and every one of you. You know who you are. I hope you enjoyed the awareness items I gave as gifts.

Thanks also to the many volunteers who helped us make the events so successful. Shout outs to: Nancy Yonko, Deb Kidwell (a great house guest who made it her mission to take out my trash!), Randi Thompson (the absolute QUEEN of social networking and who handled registration at the WHINNY awards and had info about the events on the social networking sites by Saturday evening!), Charlene Hadwin (formerly Peterson), Sheryl Kursar, Nick and Colleen Kelly (wasn’t she great with the mic?), Nanette Levin, Teri Swanson who helped me at registration, and the one and only Rachael Burton. I could not have done it without all of you. Pat yourselves on the back for a job well done!

And a massive shout out to Wayne Williams who worked his you know what off capturing the events for television. If you need TV exposure or advertising, he is the guy to call. Great to work with and he is really starting to go places with his TV show. Watch for news from Wayne soon. And visit his website: Speaking of Horses TV.

And now that these events are over, I am ready to help all of your market and promote your products and services.

Remember, if you have not taken an ad or a listing in our BIG XMAS BOOK, you have until Friday to get in. If you took an ad in our 2011 WYSK book, you get a free ad in the BIG XMAS BOOK. Do not send us a new ad; we will use the one from the WYSK book. This is the FINAL deadline and we hope to have it out by the middle of next week.

Our next newsletter will go out November 1st so if you want to put something in it, send it to us no later than October 22. Send it to Debby Lening at womenspetbiz@yahoo.com. Make sure you tell her it’s for the WHIN newsletter.

Let us know what you are doing and what you need. If you are traveling and want to save some money on hotel bills, let us know. I bet some of our members would let you stay with them.

The world is a different place than it used to be and we are all in this together. It’s important that we let our members know what you need and also what you can offer. We are a business network but we are also a network of friends. We have the best women in the horse industry as members and please make it a point to get to know as many as possible. And let your friends who are not members know about us. The more members we have the more business we can do.

Have a great week and let me know if there is anything I can do for you. The phone works best so if you need something, please feel free to give me a call at 615-730-7833. I am rested now and know I can put a couple of sentences together…

Cheers!
