USEF Higher Education Equestrian Scholarships Awarded to Five Students

Lexington, Ky. – The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) is pleased to announce the five recipients of the USEF Higher Education Equestrian Scholarship for graduating high school seniors presented by Elisabeth Goth. In its second year, the scholarship program was created to support students who intend to continue their equestrian careers during college, either through an equestrian-related degree or by riding on an intercollegiate equestrian team. Each recipient receives a $1,000 grant toward his/her education at the respective college or university.

The five recipients are:

Jenna Martin of Somers, Conn., attending James Madison University to study finance and compete on the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) team

Natasha Miro of Alameda, Calif., attending University of St Andrews in Scotland to study modern history and social anthropology and compete on the riding team

EmilyAnne Schwinn of Lansing, Kan., attending Kansas State University to study animal science and compete on the IHSA team

Eliza van der Woude of Warrenton, Va., attending Randolph-Macon College to study business and compete on the IHSA team

Marilyn Mossien of Glastonbury, Conn., attending Yale University to study mechanical engineering and compete on the IHSA and polo teams
