Traders Point Hunt Charity Horse Show Provides Jumper Highlights August 7-12

Zionsville, IN – July 18, 2012 – The Traders Point Hunt Charity Horse Show (TPHCHS) brings the most desirable featured competitions to the forefront of their weeklong show. TPHCHS will offer top classes for riders of all experience levels from August 7-12, 2012, including several prestigious championships and Grand Prix opportunities. The jumper highlights are a chance for riders from across the nation to showcase their talented mounts against some of the best.

The long anticipated $30,000 Mr. & Mrs. Russell Fortune, Jr. Memorial Grand Prix will take place Friday, August 10, 2012 at 5 pm. The event is open to all horses, and the height will be set at 1.50 meters, testing riders and horses alike in preparation for the $60,000 Grand Prix of Indianapolis to be held Sunday, August 12 at 2 pm.

TPHCHS will also offer the USHJA Zone 5 Open Jumper Championship which will consist of the two phases including the $2,000 1.40m Time First Round Phase I and the $3,000 1.40m Time First Round Phase II. The show will offer numerous Open Jumper classes, including the 1.20m Open Jumpers, 1.30m Open Jumpers, and the esteemed $1,000 1.35m Open Jumpers.

The $15,000 PNC Bank Junior/Amateur-Owner Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic will give junior and amateur-owner riders the rare opportunity to compete at higher levels. This competition also acts as a proving ground for many riders who aspire to someday represent the United States in international competition. Other thrilling classes will be offered in the High Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumpers including the $2,000 Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumper and the $2,000 Junior/Amateur-Owner High, Power & Speed. In the Low Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumpers, riders will have a chance to compete in the $1,000 Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumpers, as well as the $5,000 NAL Low Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumper Classic.

Adult Amateurs will have the chance to prove themselves in the jumper ring as they go head to head to rise to the top of the leader board. They will have the opportunity to compete in the $500 Adult Amateur Jumpers, as well as the USHJA Zone 5 Adult Amateur Jumper Championship. This event will include the $2,500 NAL/WIHS Adult Amateur Jumper Classic, which will help competitors gain qualifying points for the North American League Series and WIHS Championship Series.

Children will also have a turn in the jumper ring. Several Children’s Jumper classes will be available throughout the week, including the USHJA Zone 5 Children’s Jumper Championship. Similar to that of the Adult Amateur’s Championship, the children will vie for the top qualifying awards, as well as the $2,500 NAL/WIHS Children’s Jumper Classic. Both the Adult Amateur and Children competitors will have the opportunity to compete in the Low Jumpers, including the USHJA Zone 5 Low Children’s/Adult Amateur Jumper Championship.

One of the final featured competitions includes the 5, 6 & 7/8 Year Old Young Jumper Section. These divisions offer three classes in each category for the Young Jumpers. The final class of the three will count toward the Young Jumper Championship for 2012. The YJC 5 Year Old Championship Qualifier and the YJC 6 Year Old Championship Qualifier will be held beginning at 8 am Friday, August 10. The YJC for 7 & 8 Year Old Championship Qualifier will complete the qualifiers on Saturday, August 11.

The Traders Point Hunt Charity Horse Show and Country Fair is held on the beautiful 250-acre grounds of Wild Air Farms in Zionsville, IN. The show offers top prize money with two Grand Prix events and a USHJA International Hunter Derby.
