Wellington, FL (December 14, 2010) – Dressage rider Tine Zinglersen and a Dutch Warmblood named Today proved it was their day to shine at the Wellington Classic Dressage Holiday Challenge Toys for Tots Benefit Show when they rode away with the “Best Turned Out Horse” Award. Thanks to his gleaming coat and spotless appearance, Today, who is owned by Eugenia Revson of Pine Plains, New York, took home the award sponsored by Custom Saddlery, makers of handcrafted custom-fit dressage, jumping, and event saddles.

Zinglersen, who lives in New York but is originally from Denmark, was pleased with Today’s ride in the Prix St. George class. “We bought him three years ago in Holland. People always ask about his name, Today, but he came with it and we never change their name,” Zinglersen said.

Today’s beautiful dappled grey coat and pristine turnout helped him win a pair of fleece lined DSB Dressage Boots from Custom Saddlery. “Today is a gorgeous horse and I want to congratulate Tine and Eugenia on his turn out. He was positively gleaming and Tine was impeccably dressed as well. I know that Tine and Eugenia are in Wellington for the season and I want to wish them continued good luck throughout the coming shows,” said Cary Wallace, President and Master Saddle Fitter at Custom Saddlery, adding that he enjoys the time-honored tradition of horses being turned out in style.

Thanks to winning the Best Turned Out Horse Award, Zinglersen will automatically be entered in Custom Saddlery’s All American Saddle Fit Challenge, a program designed to bring awareness to the fact that all saddles need to fit both the horse and rider properly. Through the program, five dressage riders will win free Custom Dressage Saddles over the next year. Riders wishing to find out more can go online to Custom Saddlery’s website.

“I think grooming, conditioning, and feeding are all ingredients that result in a horse being properly turned out. A happy and healthy horse is also one that has a saddle that fits properly, which of course is what Custom Saddlery strongly advocates,” Wallace said, adding that Custom Saddlery builds their trees to fit the shape of the horse. “We don’t have tree sizes on our custom fitted saddles. We fit them to the horse so whatever the horse’s build, it dictates the tree size.”

As an official sponsor of the United States Dressage Federation, Custom Saddlery is endorsed by some of the finest riders in the world including Steffen Peters who represented the United States at the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in Kentucky. Custom Saddlery’s Dressage line includes Wolfgang brand saddles as well as the popular Icon line of monoflap dressage saddles.

Custom Saddlery will present the Best Turned Out Horse Award at a variety of Gold Coast Dressage Association (GCDA) shows and Wellington Classic Dressage (WCD) shows, including the GCDA Opener CDI, January 21-23, 2011; the WCD Spring Challenge CDI, February 10-13, 2011; the WCD Challenge II, March 10-13, 2011; and the GCDA Finale I, April 15-16.
