Thousand Oaks, CA – June 14, 2010 – The United States Para-Equestrian Association (USPEA) would like to thank everyone involved with the Para-Webathon, which occurred on June 8, 2010 at 7:00 PM.  Broadcasted from the studios of Alltech, the Para-Webathon was presented by the USPEA and Horse Radio Network.  For two hours supporters for the United States Para-Equestrian Team were able to call or click to donate to the Para-Equestrians. The Para-Webathon was a very successful event bringing in $10,000 to support the organization.  The USPEA will be using this money for the 10 riders that will travel to Lexington, Kentucky, for the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games.  The Para-Webathon would not have achieved its success without the volunteers, equestrians, Alltech, Horse Radio Network, and Kentucky Performance Products.

The USPEA would like to thank Kentucky Performance Products for going above and beyond, pledging to match the first $2,500 raised during the webathon.  Founded in 1998 by President and Owner Karen J. Isberg, Kentucky Performance Products (KPP), a leading supplement company, provides horsemen with research-proven nutritional supplements that meet the challenges facing today’s horses. Each product is scientifically developed to effectively address a horse’s individual needs.  Just as KPP addresses the horse’s individual needs, they decided to support an association that benefits the rider’s individual needs as the Para-Equestrians make their way to WEG.  “Para equestrians face adversity daily, on and off their horses. Hearing their stories and learning of their amazing accomplishments is inspiring,” said Karen J. Isberg, president of Kentucky Performance Products. “For the Para-Equestrians, it is more about overcoming tough challenges and attaining deep personal goals than winning a title. Their successes raise equestrian sports to an entirely new level. My staff and I want to help give these riders the opportunity to realize their goals and gain recognition for their achievements at this very prestigious international event.”

Alltech, Sponsor of the 2010 FEI World Equestrian Games, also deserved a large acknowledgement for providing the studios, the manpower, and the technology to host the Para-Webathon.  Their professionalism and kind donations made the Para-Webathon possible.  The USPEA is honored to have worked with a company with such respect, generosity, and expertise.

Without the support of the Horse Radio Network and hosts Glenn the Geek (Founder of Horse Radio Network), Samantha Clark (host of the 2010 Radio Show), and Chris Stafford (host of the Eventing, Dressage, and Jumping Radio Shows), the Para-Webathon would not have been possible.  Their outstanding ability to report in a radio format about the equestrian industry is phenomenal. Alongside Horse Radio Network’s Glenn the Geek, Samantha Clark, and Chris Stafford, Para-Equestrian Susan Treabess was invited to tell her inspirational story and talk about her plans as she begins the road to Kentucky.

The USPEA would also like to thank all of the equestrians involved including Susan Treabess, Becca Hart, Wendy Fryke, Erin Alberda, and all of the equestrians and equestrian enthusiasts that called to donate.

Lastly, thanks to EZSignsOnline who provided signage for the event and Central Kentucky Riding for Hope for their support of the USPEA.
