Wellington, FL – March 27, 2012 – It is the penultimate week of Dressage under the Stars – the last week to qualify – and the competition promises to be fierce. Six horse and rider combinations have earned their place in the April 4th Finals, but Wednesday night’s competition will prove who else will vie for the championship.

Along with the excitement and rising anticipation, the crowd will be in for a spectacle as the esteemed Lusitano horse displays its elegance and beauty beneath the captivating ambiance of the night sky. The event’s producer Steve Williams is also pleased to announce Horze as the most recent sponsor of Dressage under the Stars.

Horze recently launched their Web site www.horze.com in the United States – serving as the largest equine supply company in the world with availability in over 40 countries. Their inventory contains over 5,000 different products which are available for purchase in 14 languages. As the owner/operator of three of their own factories, Horze is one of the few companies that has full control over the manufacturing of their products. This efficiency enables Horze to provide high quality products at a low price, making them the European brand that everyone can afford.

“We think it’s fun to be promoting the sport in this way,” Horze USA’s General Manager Fred Erik Nilsen said. “With such a wide audience demographic, Dressage under the Stars is the perfect way to reach out to our customers; equestrians on every level.”

Dressage under the Stars offers an extremely special opportunity for the community because it gives the public a fun and easy format to understand. The series was originally designed to augment the top caliber International Dressage competitions throughout Wellington, and allow for Dressage to take “center stage” under the lights. Over the last few weeks, Dressage under the Stars has included freestyle performances from the entire musical spectrum – country to classical, Broadway to electronic, and as always, brand-new entertainment.

The judges’ panel this week will include life-long and esteemed equestrian Jane Forbes Clark, U.S. Dressage rider Katherine Bateson and “R” Dressage judge Susan Roberto. Each judge will bring their opinion to the forefront, expertly granting scores based on technique, choreography, music selection and costume design. With the pressure beginning to surmount, who will take the final spot in the Championship Finals.

“It is amazing to me that the last week of qualifiers is here already, but we have seen amazing horses and riders join us,” Williams explained. “This event has a way of bringing people together and especially helping to bring a laidback approach to dressage in Wellington that people from everywhere can enjoy. I am excited to see the competition this Wednesday, and the Finals are going to be a definite can’t miss.”

Fun, friends and fabulous riding are all a part of Dressage under the Stars. To be a part of the fourth season of Dressage under the Stars, please call (917) 907-0053. Dressage under the Stars will be held each consecutive Wednesday through April 4, 2012.
