The Atlanta Spring Classic is underway and the Georgia International Horse Park in Conyers is jumping!

Yesterday the $5,000 Horseflight Open Welcome saw Daniel Geitner of Aiken, South Carolina and Dayna Gant’s Chivas in the winner’s circle. Their second round effort in a clean 41.194 seconds set the time to beat.

Christina Kelly of Keene, Kentucky and Edith Rameika’s Chicco W followed Geitner and posted a clean first round in a time of 70.423 seconds. Their second round effort saw four jump faults in a time of 41.247 seconds which would put them in third place overall.

Leann Kelly of Valatie, New York and Honorway Farm, LLC’s Leander followed Kelly and turned in a clean first round in a time of 71.043 seconds. Although posting a clean second round effort, their time of 41.235 seconds would see them finish in second. Geitner maintained the lead.

Christian Rogge of Magnolia, Texas and his own Lissa Tsp turned in a four fault first round effort in a time of 71.388 which would place them in fifth place overall. Geitner returned to the ring, this time in the irons of Barbara Phillips’ Coco Chanel and had eight faults in a time of 69.445 seconds and finished in sixth place overall.
