USET Foundation Launches U.S. Equestrian Team Registry

Gladstone, NJ – September 15, 2015 – The United States Equestrian Team Foundation is pleased to announce the launch of its new U.S. Equestrian Team Registry. With the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro now less than a year away, our United States Equestrian Team athletes need assistance to prepare for the Games. To help them get ready to demonstrate the excellence of American horsemanship for the entire world to see, you can lend a hand by gifting a Registry item today.

The United States is one of the only countries in the world that does not receive federal funding. Instead, athletes rely on the support of fans and donors nationwide to finance their Olympic and Paralympic dreams. That’s why the USET Foundation launched a brand-new campaign aimed at helping U.S. equestrian athletes.

The campaign, called the U.S. Equestrian Team Registry, invites donors to select a symbolic gift that represents a real athlete need – anything from a riding helmet to horse transportation or a sports psychology session. When a donor selects a symbolic gift, the cost of that item or service is used to support our U.S. Equestrian Teams on their quest for gold. With this campaign, the USEF and USET Foundation can help ensure that the U.S. sends the best possible group of athletes to the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Rio – not just those who can afford to get there.

“The USET Foundation is always looking for innovative ways to get people involved and feel like part of the team,” said two-time Olympic Gold medalist McLain Ward. “I think from that point of view it’s very exciting. Support is the key to future success. Without people behind you at every level, we’re not going to continue to win on the world stage, and this registry is a vital part of that support.”

By participating in the U.S. Equestrian Team Registry campaign, fans are invited to become a part of “the team behind the Team” – a generous group of donors and sponsors who are invested in the success of the United States Equestrian Teams.

Join the team today by visiting http://www.uset.org/registry to check out the large inventory of items that are needed to help athletes succeed in all eight of the FEI disciplines. All of these items can help athletes bring home a priceless Gold medal for the United States.

The first 25 donors to the U.S. Equestrian Team Registry will receive two tickets to the Rolex Central Park Horse Show for Friday, September 25 or Saturday, September 26, 2015.

By joining the cause of the USET Foundation and giving the gift of a Registry item, you will be supporting all of the effort that it takes to compete at major events such as Olympic Games, Pan American Games, World Equestrian Games and other championship events.

“It truly takes a ‘team’ to ensure our athletes and United States Equestrian Teams have the resources they need to achieve competitive excellence at Olympic Games and World Championships. We are really excited to present the U.S Equestrian Team Registry, a new way for people to show their support and join the ‘team.’ With less than a year to go to Rio, we hope everyone will make a gift and be recognized as a member of the team behind the Team,” said Bonnie Jenkins, USET Foundation Executive Director.
