Riders Find Success at 2016 Rita & Irish Flynn Memorial Hosted at PBIEC

Wellington, FL – October 5, 2016 – The 2016 Rita & Irish Flynn Memorial at Palm Beach International Equestrian Center (PBIEC) showcased two days of hunter and jumper competition as the final competition of the 2016 ESP Summer Series.

John Angus of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Totally Naked, owned by Stephanie Angus, took first place in the $1,500 Low Child/Adult Jumper Classic presented by Tuffrider & Equine Couture after completing the jump-off in 26.101 seconds. Chase Wells of Miami Beach, FL and his own Wasabi collected second place with a jump-off time of 27.371 seconds. Angus also picked up third place aboard Seacrest’s Elsa, owned by Stephanie Angus, who rounded out the top three finishers, crossing through the timers in 28.694 seconds.

The M&S Child/Adult Classic presented by Accuhorsemat was championed by Victoria Grauer of Greenwich, CT and Avenir, owned by Laura & Peter Grauer, as the duo earned a jump-off time of 44.138 seconds. Kara Constantakos of Jupiter, FL and her own Bon Vivant, rode to second place after crossing through the timers in 45.576 seconds. Isabel Sanchez of South West Ranches, FL piloted Chino, owned by Anabelle Mejia, taking third place with a quick time of 39.965 seconds, adding four faults to their final score.

Mina Robinson of Weston, FL piloted Vertigo, owned by Gordon Munro, to top divisional honors in the Puddle Jumpers Division, while Valentina Sublowski of Weston, FL and her own Etched in Stone captured the reserve champion title.

Caitlin Flynn of Loxahatchee, FL and her own Cool Colony took championship honors in the Low Adult Hunter Division presented by Pilates Rocks, while Brooke Place of Delray Beach, FL and her own Percival took reserve honors.

Leah Rodman of Miami, FL and Cartoon, owned by Anna Feldman, rose to the top of the class earning championship honors in the Child/Adult Hunter Division presented by UHealth Ear Institute. Nina Zollo of West Palm Beach, FL guided her own Likely V to reserve champion.

The Low Children’s Hunter Division saw Casey Mangini of Wellington, FL and her own Rushin’ take championship honors, while Gianna Garofalo of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and Cruise, owned by Palm Beach Riding Academy, rode to reserve.

Jessica Nichols-Dever, Head Instructor at Palm Beach Riding Academy, was presented with the Rita & Irish Flynn Memorial Trophy in recognition and appreciation of her dedication to equestrian sport and her commitment to PBRA and its clients.
