United States Para-Equestrian Team Talks 2012 on Dover’s World November 15, 2011

Wellington, FL – November 15, 2011 – Premiering Tuesday, November 15, 2011, on Dover’s World will be the United States Para-Equestrian Team. Beginning at 6:30 p.m. two hours will be devoted to discussing the eighth international equestrian discipline, Para-Dressage. Anyone interested in calling in to the broadcast may call 561-844-6167 or 800-889-0267.

Three important Para-Equestrian organizers and one Para-Dressage rider will be on hand to answer questions and to discuss the sport of Para-Dressage.  Those four include USEF Director of Para-Equestrian Pam Lane, Chef d’Equipe of the 2010 Para-Dressage Team Missy Ransehousen, the President of the United States Para-Equestrian Association, Hope Hand, and Donna Ponessa who is a Grade Ia Para-Dressage equestrian.  Donna has had an exciting year with top results in California, New York, and recently she earned Gold in all three tests in Mexico City at the CPEDI3*.  Donna was also part of the United States Team alongside Jonathan Wentz and Dale Dedrick who recently won a Team Gold in Mexico City on November 12.

Dover’s World to Highlight 128th Alltech National Horse Show

Wellington, FL – September 14, 2011 – Robert Dover, dressage expert and former Olympian, will host the President of the National Horse Show Association on an upcoming session of his popular radio program, Dover’s World. Mason Phelps, Jr. who also runs Phelps Media Group in Wellington, FL, will appear on the September 20th program of Dover’s World to discuss the 128th Alltech National Horse Show. Joining Phelps and Robert Dover will be Leo Conroy, co-manager of the Alltech National Horse Show and Vice President of the National Horse Show Association of America.

Tickets are already on sale for this prestigious event, and listeners can tune in to Dover’s World next Tuesday to learn all about this year’s highly-anticipated contest. Taking place this year at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY, the Alltech National Horse Show will feature a wide array of both hunter and jumper events. In addition, the ASPCA Alfred P. Maclay finals will also occur during the show’s five-day run, November 2nd-6th, 2011.

Dover’s World to Showcase Hunter Industry on Upcoming Radio Show

Wellington, FL – June 20, 2011 – Dressage specialist and six-time Olympian Robert Dover, host of the popular Dover’s World radio program, will devote an upcoming show to current issues in the hunter industry. Airing Tuesday, June 21, 2011, on WBZT (AM1230 in the Palm Beaches) at 6pm EST, the show will hunt for the most important hunter-related issues in the ever-changing world of equestrian sport.

From pony hunters to hunter derbies, the wide range of potential topics offers listeners a great chance to call in and voice their opinion. In addition, those who tune in Tuesday night will also have the chance to hear insightful commentary from knowledgeable panelists. Peter Pletcher, Kim Stewart, Richard Slocum, and another authority (TBA) will all lend their considerable expertise to the program.

Having already devoted shows to the jumper industry and eventing, Dover’s hunter-focused session will examine the future of hunters as well as their past. “The show will raise many questions about the direction in which the industry is going,” noted Dover. “Is the sport better or worse than it was in previous years?” The use of calming agents vs. other methods of controlling a horse’s behavior, the influence of derbies, evolving expectations of horses and riders – Dover says there is no limit to the discussions that will animate the airwaves Tuesday night.

Robert Dover Hosts Open Forum for Listeners on Tonight’s Show

Wellington, FL – April 5, 2011 – Six-time Olympian Robert Dover will host an evening to remember on his Dover’s World radio show, discussing anything his listeners are interested in.  At 7p.m. Dover will open the listener phone lines to anyone with questions. Dover’s World airs tonight, Tuesday April 5, 2011, beginning at 6pm on WBZT (AM 1230) from Palm Beach to Miami, Florida. The program can also be found at DoversWorld.com, and will be streamed live for listeners around the world. Joining Dover in the evening’s line up is the voice of Welly World, Mason Phelps, Jr.

Phelps, another former Olympian, will update listeners on the final week of the Winter Equestrian Festival, along with other tidbits from what’s been happening in Wellington.

Robert Dover’s Radio Show to Feature Olympic Stars in the “It Gets Better Campaign”

Wellington, FL – December 27, 2010 – Six time Olympian Robert Dover will host Olympic Stars for the It Gets Better campaign on his radio show, Dover’s World, on Tuesday December 28, 2010 at 6pm on WBZT (AM 1230) from Palm Beach to Miami, Florida.  The program can also be found at www.DoversWorld.com, and will be streamed live there for listeners around the world.  The roster for the “Olympic Stars for the It Gets Better Campaign” radio show include Olympic Stars that all happen to be out, gay, and proud champions in sport and life in general.

Featured guests on the show include Olympic Diver David Pichler, who represented the United States in Atlanta in 1996 and was named the Diving Team Captain four years later at the Games in Sydney, Australia, where he was ranked fourth in the world in the 3-meter synchronized event and ninth individually. Life was not always easy for David, and he will share how he persevered and became such a great success.

Next up is Southern Germany born Guenter Seidel, who immigrated to the United States, became a citizen, and went on to represent the U.S Olympic Dressage Team in Atlanta, Sydney and Athens.  Seidel earned Bronze Medals in each of his three Olympic appearances.  He will talk about his decision to leave his native land and move to California where he still makes his home, along with his long-time partner, Sean Caddell.  Seidel will also discuss his sights on the 2012 Olympics in London.
