Wilhelm Genn and Happy Z Take $25,000 National Grand Prix

Green Cove Springs, FL – January 23, 2010 — Kelley Farmer, who hails from Keswick, VA, partnered with Rosalynn to capture the top spot of North Florida’s Inaugural $20,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby sponsored by Jerry Parks Insurance, Great American Insurance Group and The Bruning Foundation, held Saturday under the lights of the covered arena at the Clay County Agricultural Center in Green Cove Springs, FL.

The evening was kicked off in the “Marques at Green Cove Springs”, the stylish and inviting VIP tent adjacent to the arena, with a delicious dinner provided by Carrabba’s Italian Grill and a very special Live Auction to benefit HOPE Therapeutic Riding Center. “While we raised a lot of money for HOPE, the generous bidders were big winners too. They got some outstanding deals on an array of items- like the Sea World Aquatic package and the Golf World getaway,” Tony Weight, President of North Florida Hunter Jumper Association, said.

Gulf Coast Winter Series 2011

Because of popular demand we have added Hunter Breeding to each week in Gulfport this winter. The classes will be held on Thursday mid day and will offer Yearling, Two Year Olds and Three Year Olds. Also, due to popular demand we will be adding a non restricted 1.0m Children’s Adult Jumper Division to run hand in hand with the Zone 4 1.0m Children’s Adult but will allow for cross entry into the 1.10 – 1.15 Zone 4 Children’s Adult Jumpers.

We are also very pleased to see so many exhibitors taking advantage of the reduced stall price if paid in full by closing date (Feb. 1). For those who have not fully read the prize list, the stall price this year is $225.00 per week but if paid in full by closing date, the price is $200. For stalls call 843 768 5503.

Jeff is putting the stalls up in Gulfport now so don’t wait too long to send in your camper or stall reservation. It’s going to be a great year in Gulfport with lots of new classes and new prize money offerings along with great improvements, like a new jumper rider’s lounge placed ringside jumper ring one.

Also, if you are tired of the cold and snow, of course you can come to Jacksonville, Florida (the only state in the country without snow) or come on down early to Gulfport. Call Janet at our office for more information about early arrivals: 228 669 2687.

Dr. Juan Gamboa & Partizan ©Flashpoint Photography

Gulfport, MS – December 16, 2010 – The Gulf Coast Classic Company is pleased to welcome Adequan (polysulfated glycosminoglycan) as the newest sponsor for the 2011 Winter Classics. “We are excited to continue our support of the Classic Company and the riders and horses that compete at these competitions,” stated Allyn Mann, Sr. Manager of Luitpold Pharmaceuticals, Inc. “Our philosophy is simple: support those who are supporting you.”

“Given the sport our athletes compete in, pairing with Adequan seems the perfect fit for both parties,” Bob Bell, Co-Chair of the Gulf Coast Winter Classics, began. “Arthritis is an inflammation in the joints which at some time will plague many of our beloved equine partners and even our canine friends can suffer the ill effects of Arthritis. Adequan has made such strides in providing relief from the pain associated with this ailment and provided a longer career as well as improved life span.”

Alissa Kinsey Wins Barry Lane Memorial; David Jennings Triumphs in EMO $25k Grand Prix

Conyers, GA — November 14, 2010 — Classic Company’s Season Finale event, the Atlanta Fall Classics, is a virtual cornucopia of equestrian competition with everything from Zone Championships to a $25,000 Adult-Child Jumper Classic to a show jumping Grand Prix just in the first week. “We always like to end our year big!” Classic Company President Bob Bell quipped.

Friday’s kick off of head to head competition began with the USHJA National Hunter Classic. This event is considered a stepping stone to the regular Hunter Derbies for many and designer Joe Carnicone gave riders a taste of that experience with a layout offering four higher option fences to garnish bonus points. Top scores were invited to return for a handy round in which an overall point total would determine the victor. Round one found Camden, SC favorite Elizabeth Boyd riding the Lee Cesery owned Marquis to an early lead, but the young talents of Marlena Parker and Edie Ringger were right on her coat tails. And when the scores were tallied it was Edie Ringger of Midland, GA with her mount Norway de la Fosse taking the number one position.
