Lexington, KY – October 20, 2014 – This year’s Barn Night at the National Horse Show is on Friday, Oct. 31: Halloween night.
Barns, family, and friends of all ages are invited to come and show off their Halloween garb and farm spirit. Teams are encouraged to make banners or signs showing their pride.
A golf cart, courtesy of Southern Lawn and Equipment is the grand prize to be presented to the Largest Group with a unique theme or the best creative costumes!
Be creative and compete to win prizes that include a ton of feed from Hallway Feeds (wow!) and a wheelbarrow filled with goodies from Dover Saddlery.
Prizes will also be awarded for Best Group Spirit, Best Group Costume and Best Individual Costume.

The highlight of the event is the $45,000 Gambler’s Choice, where costumed competitors will battle for the win. Attendees are encouraged to root for their favorites and show their support from the stands.
About the National Horse Show
The National Horse Show was once again named the National Show Hunter Hall of Fame’s Horse Show of the Year and was again named as one of NARG’s (North American Riders Group) top rated North American events.
With $755,000 in prize money offered, this year’s show has been designated a CSI-W 4* show by the FEI. The International Open Jumpers will compete for $460,000 in prize money, while the top rated hunter sections have a total purse of $195,000. Meanwhile, $100,000 in total is offered to the Amateur-Owner and U 25 Jumper sections.

2014 National Horse Show Fast Facts
What:
The Alltech National Horse Show is a week-long championship event featuring “AA”-rated hunters, open jumpers, junior/amateur jumpers, and the ASPCA Alfred B. Maclay Finals. The event will run October 28 – November 2, 2014, indoors in the Alltech Arena at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY, site of the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games.
Parking:
The Kentucky Horse Park has waived the normal parking fee during the Alltech National Horse Show. Parking is free. While dogs are permitted at the Kentucky Horse Park on a leash, no dogs are allowed in the Alltech Arena during the ANHS.

The Kentucky Horse Park is located at 4089 Iron Works Parkway, Lexington, KY 40511. The KHP is 8 miles northeast of Lexington at Exit 120 on Interstate 75.
