Wellington, FL — January 11, 2015 — Gabriela Stumpf (AUT) and Finally Love performed a lovely test to take the win with a score of 69.927% in the Adequan® Global Dressage Festival (AGDF) FEI Intermediaire 1 Freestyle presented by MTICA Farm. Mary Bahniuk-Lauritsen (USA) and Wench De Jeu followed in second scoring a 68.675% and Jill Irving and Dio Mio finished in third with a total score of 68.625%.

Stumpf, who has been partnered with the eight-year-old Oldenburg gelding for four years, felt the test was very good, considering Finally Love was a bit excited in the warm-up. “He was a bit tense at first because he was in a very good mood today when we first came out, I think due to the wind and the cooler weather,” she said. “But I was able to get him focused and he concentrated nicely during the test, which is what I was looking for.”

The duo performed a very clean test, and Stumpf is only looking to improve in the coming weeks of the AGDF season. “It is really great here,” she commented. “I love coming because the weather is always fantastic and you are able to do a lot of tests in many different rings. The horses are really exposed to a lot during the season.”

Finally Love will compete again in two weeks at the Intermediaire II level with Stumpf, and the pair will look to improve upon the scores they received in the first week of competition. “We started him at the lower levels, and we have slowly moved our way up. He is very easy and fun and has a super personality,” she smiled.

Gabriela topped her sister Katharina in the class, who rode For My Love to a score of 67.750%, taking fourth in the class. “I love competing against my sister, we always enjoy riding together,” said Gabriela. “It is always very nice to have her in the awards ceremony beside me.”

Mary Bahniuk-Lauritsen (USA) performed a great freestyle with Wench De Jeu to a creative combination of acoustic Rihanna songs. Bahniuk-Lauritsen and Wench De Jeu, a relatively new partnership, are now coming into their own at the Intermediaire 1 level. “She felt very confident in the canter work. We had a few bobbles throughout the test, but it is her first freestyle at this level and my first with her, so I’m glad we performed so well,” she said. “Next time, when we come out in two weeks, I would really like to push for more and have that extra edge I was looking for today.”

A native of Harvard, Massachusetts, Bahniuk-Lauritsen is looking forward to taking advantage of her time in South Florida. “We have our eyes on the Pan American Games and there is also the Nations Cup. A few pairs will be given grants to travel to Europe this summer so we’re hoping to be considered for all of those opportunities based on our performances here at AGDF,” she stated.

Vilhelmson-Silfven and Divertimento Capture First Win of Season in FEI Grand Prix Special at AGDF

Wellington, FL — January 10, 2015 — Tinne Vilhelmson-Silfven (SWE) and Divertimento, a 13-year-old Westphalian gelding owned by Lövsta Stuteri, received a 72.980% to take home the top prize in the Adequan® Global Dressage Festival’s (AGDF) FEI Grand Prix Special, presented by MTICA Farms. Allison Brock (USA) and Rosevelt followed in second with a 71.706% and Lisa Wilcox (USA) riding Pikko del Cerro HU finished third scoring a 71.275%.

Vilhelmson-Silfven was very pleased with the duo’s performance today, commenting that this week was their first competition back together in a year. “He felt really, really good today. I am very pleased with him. I managed to get the perfect amount of tension I was looking to have in the test, and that is always difficult to find,” she said. “I was a bit more daring today, and it ended up being a lovely test so I’m very happy.”

Divertimento, who can tend to be hot, settled nicely for Vilhelmson-Silfven and is beginning to come into his own at the Grand Prix level. “He’s really learning, opening up his mind and listening to me now. He’s much more with me now,” she stated. “With a horse like this, you must have 150% focus for your entire ride. It is a matter of being in the exact same moment as him because the tiniest change from me can lead to mistakes.”

Watch the winning ride of Tinne and Divertimento!

Perfecting technique has been a huge component in the formation of their partnership. Vilhelmson-Silfven took over riding the gelding seven years ago and has been competing him ever since. “He is truly a very exciting horse to ride and compete because he forces me to focus. He asks a lot of me in regards to technique. It’s a great challenge,” she smiled.

The two are regulars in Wellington during the winter season. Vilhelmson-Silfven has continued competing Divertimento here since his 8-year-old season where he debuted at the Intermediaire level. Their partnership continues to grow and Vilhelmson-Silfven now feels more consistent during Grand Prix tests. She explained, “Now that he’s older, I don’t feel like I need to ride as much, which is really a lovely feeling because he is so nice from the first step now. It is a great feeling and is something you really want to achieve, and we’re there now.”

Vilhelmson-Silfven will continue to compete Divertimento at the Grand Prix level throughout the duration of the AGDF season, aiming to improve upon the scores they received in the first week of competition. “I want more routine now. I have small things that I want to work on, but you will always have those things as a rider. The difference between yesterday and today was very nice though, and it will only continue to improve,” she said.

US Para-Dressage Athletes Dominate at the 2015 Adequan Global Dressage Festival CPEDI3*

Wellington, FL – January 9, 2015 – The 2015 Adequan Global Dressage Festival CPEDI3* commenced with 13 horse and rider combinations showcasing the Para-Equestrian Dressage Team Test. Para-Dressage athletes from Grades Ia, Ib, II, III, and IV, competed in the Van Kampen Arena at the Global Dressage show grounds. Equestrians from Canada and the United States faced off once again in front of FEI Ground Jury members Mr. Freddy Leyman (BEL), Mr. Kjell Myhre (NOR), and Ms. Kristi Wysocki (USA). Earning the highest score of the day, with a 73.284% was Rebecca Hart (USA) and Schroeter’s Romani in Grade II. Schroeter’s Romani is owned by Rebecca Hart in conjunction with Margaret Duprey, Cherry Knoll Farm, Sycamore Station Equine Division, Barbara Summer, The Ruffolos, and Will and Sandy Kimmel. Also in Grade II Lauren Barwick (CAN) and her own Ferdonia 2 scored a 72.157%. USA Athlete Dale Dedrick and her new horse Mr. Bockman topped Grade Ib with a 69.333. Also garnering the blue ribbons was Angela Peavy (USA) and Ozzy Cooper in Grade III, Mary Jordan (USA) and Rubicon 75, owned by Vinceremos Therapeutic Riding Center, in Grade IV, and Jody Schloss (CAN) and her own Inspector Rebus in Grade Ia. Not far in the horizon for these Para-Dressage riders is qualifying for the 2016 Paralympic Equestrian competition in Rio Di Janeiro, Brazil, September 7-18, 2016. This CPEDI3* is one of the qualifiers for the 2016 USEF 2016 Paralympic Equestrian Selection Trials.

Grade II rider, Two-time Paralympian (2008, 2012), two-time World Equestrian Games athlete (2010, 2014), and six -time USEF Para-Equestrian Dressage National Champion Rebecca Hart is on track for the 2016 Paralympic Selection Trials with Schroeter’s Romani. One year ago, the pair had just started working together. Months later they qualified and were selected for the 2014 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games Team. Hart commented, “It has been a roller coaster of a process to get here. It’s been a whirlwind. We got her (Romani) a year ago before making the WEG team. We knew that was pushing the relationship and rushing it a little bit but she kept doing what she needed to do. We learned a lot from the World Equestrian Games experience. Romani has the talent and the presence for a good international horse. We learned where those relationship holes needed filled and that just takes time. So this year I am much more comfortable and she’s comfortable with me. Now we can enhance the performances and ask for a little more from her. We are now in that exciting stage where I can visualize what our partnership can be so it’s fun to work towards that.” Hart is working together with Missy Ransehousen of Blue Hill Farm and Todd Flettrich of Cherry Knoll Farm maximizing expertise for this partnership.

Following in Grade II for the second place position in the Team Test was Paralympian, WEG athlete, and gold medal rider Lauren Barwick (CAN) and her own Oldenburg Ferdonia 2. Barwick and Ferdonia 2 have been working together to create a harmonious partnership.

Topping Grade Ia was Paralympian and WEG athlete Jody Schloss (CAN) and longtime partner Inspector Rebus with a 68.333%. Earning the second place finish was Roxanne Trunnell and her new partner Westphalian NTEC Royal Dancer, owned by Julia Handt. In third place were Robyn Andrews (CAN) and her own Fancianna, followed by U.S. Air Force Veteran Derrick Perkins and Hanoverian Gracias Juan, owned by Stephanie Dubicki.

Since the 2012 London Paralympics, Grade Ib athlete Dale Dedrick purchased a new partner named Mr. Bockman, took some time off health reasons, and is now back in the Para-Dressage world at her best. Dedrick explained, “My ride on Mr. Bockman today was astonishing. I was really pleased with him. He was the same horse he is at home; he looks at stuff, you give him a thump with your calf and he goes, ‘okay.’ We bought Mr. Bockman 18 months ago but I was quite ill so I didn’t ride for the first year. So in June we went to our first horse show together and now this CPEDI3* is only my 4th show with him. He’s a great horse, very straightforward to ride, and not complicated.” Dedrick had a solid test and had an exceptional free walk. Dedrick commented, “That free walk is my favorite part because it really relaxes him. Even if he gets tense, you just drop the reins and he gets comfortable. He lived out in a field as a pet on a big farm so to him that is natural. I am looking forward to the rest of this weekend and really improving each rider and having a good time.” Dedrick rides with Roz Kinstler in Michigan.

Taking home both second and third place Grade Ib ribbons was 2014 WEG U.S. athlete Sydney Collier and her own Wentworth and NTEC Roulette, owned by Kai Handt. Collier was happy with each of her horses in the team test competition. Collier expressed, “I was really really happy with my tests and it’s always a great learning experience. This is my first time out with Wentworth at a CPEDI in two years because we decided to wait with him and not push him too hard. We really accomplished the consistency that we wanted to with Wentworth in the Team Test. I loved everything about each movement in that test. Roulette was great too. I was really happy with how he went today. I have only ridden him 7 times so it’s still a new partnership for both of us.”

As a WEG Team rider Collier flew back to the U.S. from France only to turn around and head to Baku, Azerbaijan to receive her Against All Odds award at the FEI Awards Gala 2014 presented by Longines. She then earned the 2014 USEF Junior Equestrian of the Year accolade, came back to the U.S., flew to Texas to train with Chef d’Equipe Kai Handt and NTEC Roulette for a week, then headed to New York to train with Wes Dunham and her horse Wentworth. Finally they headed south to prepare for this Florida CPEDI3*. Collier joked, “I am not sure what state I am in anymore, but this is all worth it and I am having fun doing it. I am especially enjoying training with both Wes and Kai. They have both been amazing working with me and adapting to me body’s needs. I love them as trainers and they make a good team.”

2014 Individual WEG athlete and young rider Angela Peavy, who trains with Heather Blitz, was showcasing her high performance partners Ozzy Cooper and Lancelot Warrior. Peavy topped Grade III with Ozzy Cooper earning a 68.070, followed by Lancelot Warrior with a 67.237. Ellie Brimmer and Hanoverian London Swing rounded out the Grade IIIs with a third place finish. Brimmer trains with Roz Kinstler and Shelly Francis. Athlete Mary Jordan and Oldenburg Rubicon 75, owned by Vinceremos Therapeutic Riding Center, took home the blue in Grade IV. Jordan and Rubicon 75 began their partnership in Spring 2014 and since their first ride together they have been working with trainer Jim Koford to bring out the best Dressage combination.

The 2015 Adequan Global Dressage Festival CPEDI3* continues on Saturday, January 10, with the FEI Para-Dressage Individual Championship Test followed by the FEI Para-Dressage Freestyle Test on Sunday, January 11.

The 2015 Adequan Global Dressage Festival CPEDI3* is once again managed by Lloyd Landkamer. The FEI Ground Jury includes Mr. Freddy Leyman (BEL), Mr. Kjell Myhre (NOR), and Ms. Kristi Wysocki (USA). Global Dressage Festival I CDI W/1*/Y/J/P/U25/CPEDI 3* January 7-11, 2015 is presented by Adequan. It features over $50,000 in prize money and is official qualifying competition for: The 2015 Adequan FEI North American Junior and Young Rider Championships presented by Gotham North; the 2015 USEF Pony Rider Dressage National Championship; 2015 AGCO/USEF Junior and Young Rider Dressage National Championships; and the 2015 USEF Young Adult ‘Brentina Cup’ Dressage National Championship. Lars Petersen and Marietta Win First FEI Grand Prix Freestyle of the Season

Wellington, FL — January 9, 2015 — Lars Petersen (DEN) and Mariett took home the win in the first “Friday Night Stars” event of the 2015 Adequan® Global Dressage Festival (AGDF) season. In the FEI Grand Prix Freestyle, presented by MTICA Farm, they scored an impressive 78.325% to secure the victory. Mikala Munter Gundersen (DEN) and My Lady followed in second receiving a 74.075% with Caroline Darcourt (SWE) riding Paridon Magi to finish third with a 72.700%.

Petersen and Mariett, veterans to the FEI Grand Prix Freestyle, displayed their impressive form, a clear indication of the duo’s long-standing partnership. “I think I said this last year, but it seems like she’s actually getting younger,” he said smiling. “She’s 17 and, knock-on-wood, still so fresh. I don’t work the tests with her very much; it’s more about keeping her fit. She still has a few more great years left in her.”

The pair was followed closely by fellow Danish rider Munter Gundersen and My Lady, who have also enjoyed a successful start to the 2015 season. “My Lady feels stronger and better than ever, for sure. I’ve spent the last four months since WEG working on strength and conditioning,” commented Munter Gundersen. “She’s a hot horse and needs to go out a lot. I have a good feeling that we will continue to improve throughout the season. I’m extremely happy with what we have accomplished this week already.”

Caroline Darcourt also had a great ride aboard Paridon Maji in their first test under the lights. Darcourt, who has worked closely with Tinne Vilhelmson-Silfven for nearly 12 years, was very pleased with the performance. “It was fantastic to ride in this ring under the lights. We’ve never done that before, and I’m happy he took it the way he did. It has been a great experience so far, especially to train. The facility is world-class,” she said.

The stands were full for the first FEI Grand Prix Freestyle class of the season, a testament to the growing popularity of the sport. Sponsor Janne Rumbough, owner of MTICA Farm and My Lady and also a competitor aboard her own Junior in tonight’s class, was thrilled with the turnout and the results. “It was wonderful to be here and be the book-end. I was the first, and Mikala was the last. I had an incredible time. I’ve been (in Wellington) a long time, and it continues to grow and grow. It’s just a lot of fun,” she stated.

All of the competitors shared their gratitude with title sponsor Adequan® and Allyn Mann, Director of Luitpold Animal Health, as the company’s continued sponsorship has helped to grow AGDF. “I’m very proud that we are able to support this wonderful discipline. I’m really falling in love with the dressage world,” commented Mann. “As a person, I am honored to be in their presence and our company is honored to do what we can to support their careers and this competition.”

Several awards were given throughout the night, highlighting the dedicated owners that continue make the sport possible. The “Best Horse Owner Award for Prix St. George”, presented by Jill Irving, was awarded to Michael Klimke (GER) for his outstanding first two days of performance aboard his own Freeliner 2. The duo took home the win in yesterday’s FEI Prix St. George class and also finished first in the FEI Intermediaire 1 class held earlier this morning. Irving will also present awards to owners with horses competing in the National divisions throughout the duration of AGDF.

Wellington Equestrian Realty’s Craig Martin and Courtney Varney also presented the “Best Horse Owner for FEI Grand Prix Freestyle” to Marcia Pepper, owner of Petersen’s mount, Mariett. Pepper’s dedication to ensuring the successful career of Mariett has been defined through the mare’s incredible success at the Grand Prix level for so many years.

Allyn Mann presented Lars Petersen and Mariett with the Adequan® Artistic High Score Award for their tremendous performance in the FEI Grand Prix Freestyle. “I was motivated to change my music as I had been using it for nearly three years. I felt like there was a need for something new. It is actually quite a lot of work to put something like that together, and I’m so lucky and thankful for my team,” said Petersen.

In the first week of FEI CDI classes held at the Adequan® Global Dressage Festival, 13 countries have been represented with 42 riders and 54 horses, truly impressive numbers for the beginning of the season with those numbers only expected to increase as the competition schedule continues forward.

Earlier in the day, Michael Klimke (GER) captured another win aboard Freeliner 2 in the FEI Intermediaire I class, presented by MTICA Farm, with a 72.053% followed by Megan Lane (CAN) aboard San D’Or receiving a 70.842% and Diane Creech (CAN) riding Robbie W to third with a 70.026%.

Allison Brock and Rosevelt Win First CDI W Grand Prix of the 2015 Season

Allison Brock and Rosevelt. Photos © SusanJStickle.com.

Wellington, Florida — January 8, 2015 — Allison Brock (USA) and Rosevelt topped the competition this afternoon in the FEI Grand Prix presented by MTICA Farm, the first of the 2015 season at the Adequan Global Dressage Festival (AGDF) during AGDF 1 CDI-W. The duo won the class on a 71.00%, followed closely by Tinne Vilhemson-Silfven (SWE) and Mikala Munter Gundersen (DEN) respectively. The first week of AGDF continues through Sunday, January 11, with the first “Friday Night Stars” Musical Freestyle beginning at 7 p.m. on January 9 and an FEI Grand Prix Special on Saturday, January 10.

Brock was elated with the performance of Rosevelt, a 13-year-old Hanoverian stallion owned by Fritz and Claudine Kundrun, in the large class of 17 riders. Coming off a spectacular 2014 season, accumulating wins at Dressage at Lexington and Devon, today marks a great start to the 2015 season for the pair who will be staying in Wellington throughout the duration of AGDF.

The competition was stiff, as many seasoned riders decided to stretch their legs and begin their seasons on the first day of AGDF competition. “I’m very pleased with him. He was so rideable today. More than anything, I am just pleased to be in the company of these other riders. To be riding with them is such a big deal,” Brock said. “I have the utmost respect for them and I know how hard they have worked to get to this level. It is truly an honor to be competing with them.”

While training with Jan Brink in Sweden, Brock decided to bring Rosevelt back to the U.S. at the end of his 7-year-old season, where she competed him in the Developing Horse Tour and High Performance Prix St. Georges classes in Wellington during his first winter.

Making the move to Grand Prix was not an easy transition for the pair, as they encountered some bumps in the road with before truly hitting their stride in 2014. “I did a year of Small Tour, where he won his regional GAIGs and then I decided to start developing him to the Grand Prix level. It was a longer process than we expected, but with those things, they happen when the horse is ready and you have to just be patient,” she commented.

As for the future, Brock has planned a competition schedule for Rosevelt, which will continue through the rest of the AGDF season. Along with competing at the Grand Prix level, she plans to contest a Friday night freestyle class as a training opportunity for the pair to experience the atmosphere under the lights. “I’m going to use this time wisely, and we’re going to take it one day at a time. Ultimately, my plan is to just keep him happy which he seems to be right now,” she stated. “I would like to see if maybe we can make a run for Pan Ams and at least get on the list and then hopefully shoot for something like Rio (Olympics) long-term.”

Traveling to Wellington each year is highlight for Brock, a native of Hawaii, who has been coming to South Florida to ride for many years. “It’s so competitive here. You’re always going to see world-class horses and riders and not to mention the great weather,” she smiled. “But alongside the competition you really have to think about what you want to accomplish and how to properly manage your horse and keep them fresh.”

It takes a committed team to help riders and horses reach the Grand Prix level, and Brock is truly grateful to the individuals who have helped her reach this stage in her career. “It is so important for me to recognize the people that make this possible. They deserve so much credit and I am continually thankful for their support, the Kundruns, Michael Barisone, and so many others. I am excited for what’s to come and it would not be possible without them.”

Grade Ia includes: Paralympian Jody Schloss (CAN) and her own Inspector Rebus; Robyn Andrews (CAN) and her own Fancianna; 2014 World Equestrian Games U.S. (WEG) Team rider Roxanne Trunnell and her new partner Westphalian NTEC Royal Dancer, owned by Julia Handt; and U.S. Air Force Veteran Derrick Perkins and Hanoverian Gracias Juan, owned by Stephanie Dubicki. U.S. Chef d’Equipe Kai Handt was excited to see the competitors back in action after the 2014 World Equestrian Games. He noted, “We have the entire U.S. team here from the WEG. They improved a lot since the WEG and the horses are looking great. We learned at WEG what the judges want to see, how to prepare our horses better and how to be prepared as a rider. I think they will do really well this weekend. I want to note that we have a really good ground jury panel here this weekend. I think we are looking forward to a very good performance towards a quality team score and getting our rankings up. We also have some new horses performing that I am excited to see and we have some old proven horses that have come out really well. We have a very good mix including a couple new riders. We hoped there would have been more riders this year at this CPEDI3*. I know it was difficult for the riders to come this early in the season, but if you want to compete at the Paralympics and you want to compete in international championships this is part of what you have to do. This is how we find out who is team worthy and who needs some more work.”

The 2015 Adequan Global Dressage Festival CPEDI3* is once again managed by Lloyd Landkamer. The FEI Ground Jury includes Mr. Freddy Leyman (BEL), Mr. Kjell Myhre (NOR), and Ms. Kristi Wysocki (USA). Global Dressage Festival I CDI W/1*/Y/J/P/U25/CPEDI 3* January 7-11, 2015 is presented by Adequan. It features over $50,000 in prize money and is official qualifying competition for: The 2015 Adequan FEI North American Junior and Young Rider Championships presented by Gotham North; the 2015 USEF Pony Rider Dressage National Championship; 2015 AGCO/USEF Junior and Young Rider Dressage National Championships; and the 2015 USEF Young Adult ‘Brentina Cup’ Dressage National Championship. It’s also the official qualifying competition for the 2015 Markel/USEF Young and Developing Horse Dressage Championships, the Great American/USDF Regional Championships and USDF/Dover Adult Amateur Medal Program. The Adequan Global Dressage Festival is the world’s largest international and national dressage circuit featuring 8 CDIs, including five CDI-Ws, one 4* and one 5*, the only non-championship CDIO Nations’ Cup in the Western Hemisphere, as well as weekly U.S. National events.

CDIO Nations Cup, CDI 5*, and Increased Prize Money Highlight 2015 Global Dressage Festival

Wellington, FL – December 23, 2014 – Equestrian Sport Productions (ESP) is pleased to announce that the official prize lists for each week of the 2015 Adequan® Global Dressage Festival (AGDF) are now available online at www.globaldressagefestival.com. One of the world’s largest international and national dressage circuits, the AGDF returns for its fourth annual event in 2015 with ten weeks of fantastic equestrian sport running from January 8 through March 28.

Held at the beautiful dressage facility at The Stadium at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center (PBIEC) in Wellington, FL, this year’s AGDF will feature three national and seven international weeks of competition. International competition includes four CDI-W rated shows, a CDI 4*, a CDI 5*, and the Western Hemisphere’s only non-championship CDIO, which is also part of the FEI Nations Cup series. With an increase to more than $650,000 in total prize money, AGDF has become the richest dressage circuit in the world.

The CDIO has been moved to the final week of the circuit this year, capping off the winter season with the very best in international dressage. The Stillpoint Farm CDIO Nations Cup competition will run March 25-28. The event is part of the FEI Nations Cup Dressage Series. This special team competition for dressage gives riders the unique opportunity to experience a championship-style format, also serving as the last team event before the Pan American Games in Toronto in July.

The CDI 5* competition, sponsored by Diamante Farms and Wellington Equestrian Realty, will be featured during week five on February 5-8, 2015. With over $200,000 in prize money, this notably makes it the second richest CDI 5* in the world.

AGDF is also pleased to announce that it will host the historic Palm Beach Dressage Derby for the second year during the week of March 5-8, presented by Everglades Dressage and Peacock Ridge, which will feature a special new derby competition.

Each week, AGDF’s famous “Friday Night Lights” Freestyle performances will be showcased along with many special events throughout the season. Stadium seating and VIP dining are available to spectators who want to come out and enjoy an evening of fun performances and world-class competition.

Director of Dressage, Thomas Baur, and Show Manager, Lloyd Landkamer, each return to AGDF this year and look forward to another wonderful season. They are pleased to present two new divisions for the circuit.

A new CDI Amateur international division will be introduced during the first week of competition and will be offered during the whole season in every CDI. Riders must be at least 26 years of age and will compete at the Small or Medium Tour level. While riders in the CDI Amateur international division cannot be listed on the international ranking list (which is reserved for Large Tour riders), this division will give a great opportunity to those looking to step up to international level.

In addition to the new CDI Amateur division, a new section of pony competition has been added for all national shows throughout the circuit. For this competition, classes are offered from USEF Training Level through USEF Third level with classes designated for the JR/YR, Adult Amateur, and Open riders.

Newly appointed USEF Dressage Youth Coach George Williams commented, “I think having the pony division is a wonderful addition to the show. We would really like to see ponies in dressage take off and I think by offering the pony section with the three divisions, it will really help the growth of ponies in our sport. Not only does it give the opportunity to the youth, but it also gives the opportunity to adult amateurs who are comfortable on ponies and it allows for more experienced riders to introduce ponies to competition.”

Spectators are always welcome at AGDF to watch some of the best dressage competition in North America. Parking and general admission are free!

Wellington, FL – December 4, 2014 – The Adequan® Global Dressage Festival (AGDF) is pleased to announce that the 2015 Florida Youth Dressage Championships will once again be held during its competition this winter at The Stadium at Palm Beach International Equestrian Center in Wellington, FL. The event will take place March 11-15, 2015, during AGDF’s week 10 CDI-W competition.

The Florida Youth Dressage Championships are proudly presented this year by Dressage4Kids, PanaCavallo and Cavalleria Toscana, and Hampton Green Farm. The championships are open to all nationalities. Riders under 25, no matter what country they are from, are encouraged to sign up and participate! Competition includes four FEI Divisions: a Pony Division, a Junior Division, a Young Rider Division and an Under 25 Grand Prix.

“We are very excited to once again host the Florida Youth Dressage Championships,” said AGDF Director of Dressage Thomas Baur. “We want to see the youth riders engage in the international spirit of the AGDF, and this is a wonderful way for them to experience exciting competition against their peers.”

Newly appointed USEF Dressage Youth Coach George Williams looks forward to the competition and is happy to see the championships return to Wellington in 2015 as AGDF gears up for a winter of top international sport.

“I am definitely looking forward to the youth championships again this year,” Williams stated. “I think each year it gets bigger and more important as a competition. It is an international competition that is open to riders from all countries. It is not limited to just North America, so it allows our U.S. riders an opportunity to compete against riders from other countries. That is a valuable experience and obviously a wonderful learning opportunity for our riders. I think that by having these opportunities, we really encourage and give our riders incentive to compete on a higher level.”

Youth under the age of 25 interested in competing must apply in writing by submitting a letter of intent by midnight EST on February 15, 2015 to LendonGray@gmail.com. The qualifying process will be that the top 15 ranked pairs in each division that have submitted a letter of intent will be invited.
