St. Gallen, Switzerland – May 29, 2013 – It has been a summer of firsts for JustWorld International. The Swiss National Equestrian Federation has selected JustWorld International as its official charity partner. The Swiss National Equestrian Federation is the first European National Federation to make such a commitment. The Longines CSIO St. Gallen of Switzerland has also stepped forward to join the Swiss National Equestrian Federation, in becoming the first international show jumping event in Switzerland to support the non-profit organization. These relationships are ideal for JustWorld International. With their help, JustWorld will be able to fulfill its mission of raising funds within the global equestrian community to help provide education, nutrition, healthcare and vocational training programs to underprivileged children in impoverished communities around the world.
The announcement of the new partnership with the Swiss National Equestrian Federation was made during the CSIO press conference in St. Gallen. “We love the idea that equestrian athletes, organizers and National Federations can help change the world by contributing to better living conditions for underprivileged children,” Charles Troillet, President of the Swiss National Equestrian Federation, stated.
Through its various communications, marketing and events, the Swiss National Equestrian Federation will help raise awareness, promote fundraising activities and help encourage their members to get involved with JustWorld.
In line with the initiative of the Swiss National Equestrian Federation, The Longines CSIO St. Gallen, which will take place from May 30 until June 2, has become the first international show jumping event in Switzerland to support JustWorld. Longines, in partnership with the CSIO will be making a donation to JustWorld each time their jumps are cleared during Sunday’s Longines Grand Prix.
President of the CSIO Switzerland Nayla Stoessel hopes that this partnership will open new doors for JustWorld in Switzerland. “It seems essential to us, as well as natural, to support JustWorld . We are particularly happy about Longines agreeing to take part in this project with us,” Stoessel explained. “Moreover, we are proud to be contributing to JustWorld and introducing the Swiss equestrian world to the activities of JustWorld and opportunities to get involved.”
Jessica Newman, Founder and Executive Director of JustWorld International, is grateful to the Swiss National Equestrian Federation and the CSIO St. Gallen for its valuable support. “We are thrilled to have the Swiss Federation become the first European National Federation to support JustWorld. This support means a lot to us. We have been very active in North America for the past 10 years, and the partnership with the Swiss Federation will help us start raising awareness of JustWorld in Europe.”
“I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Charles Troillet the Swiss Federation, Nayla Stoessel and the CSIO St. Gallen organizing committee for their enthusiastic support. We are honored to be part of such a prestigious equestrian event, and hope that this is the beginning of a long-term collaboration.” Switzerland is a country of true horsemen and women. Together we will make a difference,” Newman concluded.
