Ultra Compression
A great feature of SUNCOAST® Pine Shavings is the highly compressed packaging. Each bale of SUNCOAST® Large Flake contains 10 cubic feet of expanded bedding. Each bale of SUNCOAST® Mini Flake contains 8 cubic feet of expanded bedding. This means fewer bales to handle and store, fewer bales needed per stall, and more expanded cubic feet per bale, per pallet, and per truckload! All of which translates into lower labor costs and best value.
Ultra Dry & Absorbent
SUNCOAST® Pine Shavings are high-heat dried at a stage in the manufacturing process that produces drier, more absorbent bedding product than typical kiln dried shavings. Because of this process, SUNCOAST® Shavings are more sanitary, more dry and absorbent, and much lighter in weight.
Ultra Low Dust
SUNCOAST® Pine Shavings is a low dust bedding, containing fewer fines and dust than other bedding. Dust can cause inflammation of the nasal passages and throat, irritate the lungs, plug tear ducts, and be potentially detrimental to animal and caregiver respiratory health. SUNCOAST® screens the shavings multiple times throughout the manufacturing process to ensure the lowest possible dust content.

SUNCOAST® NEVER uses wood waste or reclaimed wood in the manufacturing process of our shavings. SUNCOAST® timber suppliers practice responsible forestry.
Stringent Quality Control
We check quality, volume, and moisture content every hour in all our facilities to ensure consistent product in every bale.
Our plants operate green. We use our own dusts and fines from our screening processes to fuel our burners that dry the shavings.
Convenience & Shipping
SUNCOAST® Shavings compressed bales stack, ship and store conveniently. Pallets are stretch-wrapped and topped with pallet caps to protect and keep the product dry. If you factor how many expanded square feet you can fit into one truck, you can estimate for yourself, how SUNCOAST’s lighter weight, compressed bales are more economical to ship, therefore, a better value than our competitors, and certainly more shavings for your dollar than bulk.
