SSG Riding Gloves will offer $60,000 in bonus money at the 2013 FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival.

Wellington, Florida – The unique SSG Riding Gloves ‘Go Clean for the Green’ promotion returns to the 2013 FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival, offering $60,000 in bonus money to riders throughout the 12-week competition running January 9 through March 31 in Wellington, FL.

Based on the overwhelming success of the innovative sponsorship promotion, SSG Riding Gloves will once again offer bonus money in the weekly WEF Challenge Cup Series, the Amateur-Owner Jumper High Classic and the Junior Jumper High Classic competitions.  If the winning rider in any of these three competitions is wearing SSG ‘Digital’ style gloves with the SSG horse head logo clearly visible on the wrist, they will be presented with a cash bonus during the awards presentation.

For the weekly WEF Challenge Cup Series held each Thursday, a $3,000 cash bonus will be awarded to the winning rider if they compete wearing SSG ‘Digital’ style riding gloves in the first round of competition and subsequent jump-off.  If the winning rider is not wearing SSG ‘Digitals’, the money will be added to the following week’s bonus, bringing the total bonus to $6,000, $9,000, etc.

For the weekly Junior Jumper High Classic and the weekly Amateur-Owner Jumper High Classic, a bonus of $1,000 will be awarded to the winning rider if they compete wearing SSG ‘Digital’ Riding Gloves with the SSG horse head logo clearly visible in the first round of competition and subsequent jump-off.  If not awarded, the bonus money will carry forward, bringing the next week’s bonus total to $2,000, $3,000, etc.

“The concept of rewarding the riders with a cash bonus was something that I felt would be interesting for the sport of show jumping, and the 12-week FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival provided the perfect venue to execute it,” said Ed James, President of SSG Riding Gloves.  “The ‘Go Clean for the Green’ promotional bonus is contingent on the riders wearing our product, and we hope that those who participate will enjoy being rewarded for their loyalty.”

Cash bonuses will be given directly to the winning rider during the awards presentation in front of the SSG Riding Gloves signature jump by Ed James and Jennifer Ward of Starting Gate Communications, who manages the ‘Go Clean for the Green’ promotion.

“While our business has been built on a foundation of public and media relations, this unique and innovative concept convinced us to extend into sponsor relations,” said Jennifer Ward, President of Starting Gate Communications Inc.  “The SSG bonus money has been warmly welcomed by the competitors over the past two seasons, and the promotion adds a fun and new dynamic to the sport.”

SSG ‘Digital’ Riding Gloves are available for purchase at numerous Wellington locations, including Tackeria, as well as on-site at the FTI Winter Equestrian Festival show grounds at various retailers including Running Fox and Beval Saddlery.
