Samuel Parot and VDL Aberlino Ride to Blue in ESP Pre-Charity $25,000 Grand Prix

Wellington, FL – November 20, 2017 – The Palm Beach International Equestrian Center (PBIEC) hosted another successful weekend of competition during the 2017 ESP Pre-Charity Show, from November 17 through November 19 at The Palm Beach International Equestrian Center in Wellington, FL. Samuel Parot of Wellington, FL and his own VDL Aberlino took top honors in the $25,000 Pre-Charity Grand Prix, after the duo finished their jump-off time in 37.56 seconds.

Theo Genn of Lebanon, OH guided Dirocco Blue, owned by Eduardo Leon, to second place in the $25,000 Pre-Charity Grand Prix, after contesting the course designed by Jasen Shelly of Wellington, FL and returning for the jump-off, finishing in 39.231 seconds. Genn also took third place aboard Van Gogh, owned by Wilhelm and Patty Genn, completing the jump-off track in 37.443 seconds, adding four faults to their final score.

Earlier in the week, the $10,000 TackNRider Stakes Class was championed by Pablo Barrios of Wellington, FL and Zara Leandra, owned by Barrios, who topped the class with a short-track time of 38.32 seconds. Cian McDermott of Wellington, FL and Newcastle, owned by Therese Bentley, collected second place with a jump-off time of 38.586 seconds. Third place honors went to Alejandro Karolyi of Wellington, FL aboard Willow, owned by Amalaya Investments, stopping timers in 39.912 seconds.

The $1,500 NAL Child/Adult Jumper Classic saw Kelsey Donahoe of Ocala, FL and her own Dutch ride to victory as they finished their jump-off time in 43.328 seconds. Doris Neyra of Miami Beach, FL and Vodka Cruiser, owned by Castlewood Farm and Alan Korotkin, finished in second place with a time of 43.722, ahead of Drew Quagliano piloting Carlos 455, owned by Rosiano Farm, stopping jump-off timers in 44.839 seconds.

Tanner Korotkin of Wellington, FL won the $2,500 Low Junior/Amateur Owner Jumper Classic aboard Castlewood Farm Inc.’s Boris III, after stopping the jump-off timers at 33.744 seconds. Second place was earned by Caroline Donnally of Wellington, FL aboard her own Reve Du Razzy, finishing with a jump-off time of 31.67 seconds and four faults. Siena Vasan of Boca Raton, FL took third place with Arvid, owned by Palm Ponies LLC, on a jump-off time of 36.558 seconds, and also adding eight faults to their score.

The $1,500 Low Child/Adult Jumper Classic awarded first place to Abigail Princz of Weston, FL and her own Florentina HF, after completing the jump-off in 40.943 seconds. Olivia Otto of Delray Beach, FL rode her own Lorenzo to second place with a jump-off time of 41.792 seconds. Third place was captured by Charlotte Morse of New York, NY and Grant Road Partners LLC’s Zaza Harvey, finishing the jump-off in 46.448 seconds.

The $1,500 Accuhorsemat Marshall & Sterling Child/Adult Jumper Classic was won by Madeline Lezotte of Wellington, FL aboard Lennox 324, owned by Samantha Senft, with a jump-off time of 44.925 seconds. Second place saw Julia Strawbridge of West Grove, PA riding her own C’est La Vie complete the jump-off in 48.391 seconds to finish in the top two. Third place went to Isabel Ernst of Vero Beach, FL aboard Belle Nuit, after a jump-off round that stopped the timers in 41.458 seconds and after four faults.

Tricia Barr of Wellington, FL and Big Girls Don’t Cry, owned by Rodney Bross, captured top honors in the Adult Amateur Hunter Division, while Chelsea Maida of Citra, FL and Idol, owned by Kelsey Donahoe, were presented with the division’s reserve championship honors.

The Equitation Adult Amateur Division saw Alexandra Davidson of New York, NY and Tyruso victorious in the division, taking champion honors ahead of Misty Pleiness of Ada, MI and Valor Z, who earned reserve champion honors.

The Low Adult Hunter Division saw Barry Carragher of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Roc Du Triomphe take the divisional championship ahead of Lisa Berger of Parkland, FL piloting Chloe, owned by East Wind Farms, LLC, who finished in reserve.

The Short Stirrup Hunter Division saw Rilee Strelec of Jupiter, FL and Hidden Springs Lucky Charm, owned by Strelec, take top honors after their consistent performances.
