Wellington, FL (January 26, 2012) – Russian Olympian Ljubov Kochetova showed off her upbeat attitude while competing a five-year-old Westphalian gelding named Corrado during the first week of the 2012 Winter Equestrian Festival, and her positive attitude helped her take home the Premier Equestrian Sportsmanship Award. Sponsored by Premier Equestrian, LLC, a leading supplier of dressage arenas, horse jumps, arena footing and stable accessories, the Premier Sportsmanship Award is presented to a barn or rider who displays a high level of sportsmanship during a show and the winner receives a gift certificate for $100 worth of Premier products.

Kochetova, who was born in St. Petersburg, Russia, competed in the 2008 Olympics aboard Ilion Kilen. She said she currently has her sights set on the 2012 Olympics in London. “We are still in the middle of the race to see who will compete in the Olympics,” she said.

Kochetova was pleased to win the Premier Sportsmanship Award. “I am very grateful to Premier,” she said. “Corrado is a very young and inexperienced horse so if he wins anything I am thrilled.”

The Russian Grand Prix rider began riding when she was only five years old, when a friend put her on a horse and the horse ran away with her. Kochetova said while everyone else was scared she would get hurt, she enjoyed the gallop across the field. Kochetova started competing in the jumper arena when she was 12 and made her international debut in 2000.

“Premier is very honored to award Ljubov with the Sportsmanship Award,” said Heidi Zorn, President of Premier Equestrian. “Ljubov has excelled in a sport that isn’t very popular in her country and she even competed in the Olympics, which is every rider’s dream. She competes with a positive attitude and her love of horses is very evident when you watch her compete and interact with her animals.”

Kochetova was awarded a gift certificate to Premier for winning the Sportsmanship Award. “We offer a fantastic line of dressage equipment, jumping equipment, rubber mats, barn and stable accessories, books, DVDs, and footing. Every winner of the award will be able to find something they need and really want among our selection,” Zorn said.

Premier Equestrian offers a complete line of horse jumps and horse jumping equipment, including jump standards, gates, walls, jump cups, horse jump poles, sponsor jumps and cavaletti. “We have many clients who compete at the Winter Equestrian Festival and we love being at such an exciting show,” Zorn said, adding that several of the rings at WEF sport custom jumps made by Premier. “Our clients really like the unlimited possibilities available to them when it comes to graphics, logos and imaging combinations on our custom jumps.”

Zorn added, “We use a high density foam that produces fantastic custom jumps. If you have been to a theme park and seen their giant fake rocks, they are also made of high-density foam. If you can imagine it, we can probably build it. From champagne bottle standards to giant 3-D logos, we are opening up a exciting new branding option and making jump courses nationwide more exciting for spectators and competitors.”

In addition to custom jumps, Premier Equestrian offers a complete line of dressage arenas, dressage arena letters and arena footing. For more information on all Premier Equestrian products visit their website at www.PremierEquestrian.com or call 800-611-6109.
