Wellington, FL – December 27, 2010 – Six time Olympian Robert Dover will host Olympic Stars for the It Gets Better campaign on his radio show, Dover’s World, on Tuesday December 28, 2010 at 6pm on WBZT (AM 1230) from Palm Beach to Miami, Florida.  The program can also be found at www.DoversWorld.com, and will be streamed live there for listeners around the world.  The roster for the “Olympic Stars for the It Gets Better Campaign” radio show include Olympic Stars that all happen to be out, gay, and proud champions in sport and life in general.

Featured guests on the show include Olympic Diver David Pichler, who represented the United States in Atlanta in 1996 and was named the Diving Team Captain four years later at the Games in Sydney, Australia, where he was ranked fourth in the world in the 3-meter synchronized event and ninth individually. Life was not always easy for David, and he will share how he persevered and became such a great success.

Next up is Southern Germany born Guenter Seidel, who immigrated to the United States, became a citizen, and went on to represent the U.S Olympic Dressage Team in Atlanta, Sydney and Athens.  Seidel earned Bronze Medals in each of his three Olympic appearances.  He will talk about his decision to leave his native land and move to California where he still makes his home, along with his long-time partner, Sean Caddell.  Seidel will also discuss his sights on the 2012 Olympics in London.

Dover met Olympic rower Sherri Cassuto in 1988.  “We hit it off right away as did our parents who had come to root us on,” said Dover.  Cassuto went on with her team of four to place ninth in Seoul.  She also placed second in the World Championships in 1985 in Belgium and is still competing as a surf-skis as well as smoking the field as an avid kayaker. “This is a formidable human being with a great story and I could not be happier to have re-connected with her and have her on my show,” commented Dover.

The youngest member of the tomorrow evening’s lineup will be joining the program all the way from New Zealand. Blake Skellerup, 25, represented his country as a Short-Track Speed Skater at the 2010 Olympic Games, placing 16th in the world.  He is terrific guy and great role model for young athletes and non-athletes alike.  Blake will tell his story of coming out in what some would consider a new age of tolerance.

Dover also will also deliver a message during the program from Swimming Olympic Gold Medalist and 2012 Chef de Mission for the entire Canadian Olympic Team, Mark Tewksbury. Tewksbury is a true example of what is possible if one sticks around, is an extremely hardworking individual always focused on reaching his full potential as both athlete and a person.

“How’s that for a great line up?” jokes Dover.  “All of these incredible people are coming on Dover’s World not only to tell their story, but are hoping to hear from you out there as well.  They especially want to hear from the kids who have questions or comments for any of us. So take down the call-in numbers now and tell all your friends at school and anyone who you think should know about this great chance to speak with Olympic Stars! The numbers are 561-844-6167 or toll-free from anywhere, 1-800-889-0267. Don’t let me down; make those phones light up at exactly 6pm EST with your calls and let everyone know that we are all shouting out to kids and adults everywhere that ‘IT GETS BETTER’!”
