Wellington, FL (February 10, 2012) – Renowned hunter trainer and rider Scott Stewart is known for his ability to spot talented horses and turn them into first-class hunters.  Stewart has found new talent in Dedication, the hunter he rode in the Second Year Green Working Hunter division during the first week of the 2012 Winter Equestrian Festival. Stewart’s skill, along with his great rides on Dedication, helped him take home the Vita Flex Victory Pass Award, sponsored by Vita Flex Nutrition, makers of animal health supplements, antioxidants, electrolytes, joint supplements, performance products, topicals and vitamins and minerals.

Stewart said he was pleased with Dedication, owned by Fashion Farm in Philadelphia. “He was really great. He had two perfect rounds the first day. The second day he was a little tired, but I was still really happy with him. It was his first time showing since November,” Stewart said.

Stewart, who operates out of River’s Edge Farm in New Jersey, has been in Wellington since November. Prior to heading south, Stewart competed at Devon where he was named the Devon Horse Show’s Leading Hunter Rider for the ninth year in a row. Stewart has also won four Professional World Champion Hunter finals.

“In the hunter world, the name Scott Stewart goes hand-in-hand with winning and being the best,” said Cherie White, brand manager for Vita Flex Nutrition. “We are delighted that Scott won the Vita Flex Victory Pass Award. Top trainers and riders around the world, and Vita Flex Victory Team members, use our products, so Scott is a natural to become part of our family and win our Victory Pass Award. Everyone at Vita Flex Nutrition congratulates Scott on his great performance on Dedication.”

Vita Flex Nutrition is pleased to be sponsoring the Vita Flex Victory Pass Award during the 2012 Winter Equestrian Festival, the world’s largest and longest running equestrian competition. The Vita Flex Victory Pass Award is presented to riders winning selected classes, and the winners receive an assortment of Vita Flex products that have been researched and tested by equine nutritionists and veterinarians and relied upon for more than two decades by owners, trainers and top riders.

“As the winner of the Vita Flex Victory Pass Award, Scott took home a commemorative plaque and bucket of Equinyl Combo, a joint formula that may help reduce inflammation associated with training and competition without causing gastrointestinal side effects. Equinyl Combo contains Glucosamine, which helps maintain synovial fluid that lubricates the joints all day,” White said. Equinyl Combo also contains the patented ComfortX ingredient that may reduce inflammation associated with training and competition, provides joint health support, increases flexibility and shortens recovery time by reducing the emigration of neutrophils to the site of the inflammation.

Vita Flex Nutrition is endorsed by world-class riders and trainers from all disciplines – from dressage, show jumpers, eventers, drivers and hunters to halter, barrel racing and reining. Many of the riders who endorse Vita Flex products have represented the United States at international events including the Olympics to World Championships. “It is very exciting to have so many talented international and world class riders who rely on Vita Flex products as an integral part of their winning teams,” White said.
