Norten-Hardenberg, Germany – May 30, 2013 – Eirin Bruheim of Norway continued her winning ways for her family’s Nordic Lights Farm this weekend at the Hardenberg Burgturnier Horse Show. The talented amateur rider piloted NLF Billy On Show to two victories in the High Amateur-Owner Jumpers, while also earning top ribbons with her second mount NLF Newsflash.

After earning the Amateur Jumper Championship at the Global Champions Tour event in Wiesbaden, Bruheim and her mounts showed no signs of slowing down. On Friday, Bruheim started off the Hardenberg Burgturnier Horse Show with second and eighth place finishes in the High Amateur-Owner Jumpers. NLF Newsflash was quick and clear over the technical speed course, clocking in at 57.37 second for the second place award. NLF Billy On Show was the fastest of the four-faulters, having a single error, but breaking the beam at 54.14 seconds for eighth place.

On Saturday, NLF Billy On Show and Bruheim were in top form for their second speed class of the week. This time they had no faults at all and crossed the wires at 60.89 second to claim the winning honors. NLF Newflash was hot on their heels, finishing in 61.45 seconds with all the rails in place for the third place prize.

The final day proved to be the best. After producing a beautiful fault-free effort over the first course, Bruheim and NLF Billy On Show advanced to the jump-off in the High Amateur-Owner Jumpers. They were able to match their perfect round in the tiebreaker, finishing in 28.26 seconds to lead the lap of honor. Bruheim and NLF Newsflash had just a single rail in the first round, but were the fastest of the four-faulters to place eighth overall.

“The show at Norten-Hardenberg proved to be another very good week,” stated Bruheim. “Both NLF Billy on Show and NLF Newsflash had three fantastic rounds in the 1.40m classes. NLF Billy On Show ended up winning two coolers and an array of the famous Schnapps made near the show. Flash also had a phenomenal week, and we are really growing together and figuring things out as we go along. I am very excited about the rest of our season in Europe.”

Nordic Lights Farm now returns to their base in England to prepare for shows in London and Hickstead, and Bruheim’s top mare Anyway will soon be joining her horses at the competitions.

Nordic Lights Farm is a 70-acre establishment located in Tomball, TX, that was founded in 2007 by the Bruheim family to help further the equestrian goals of 20-year-old Eirin Bruheim and 18-year-old Lene Bruheim. Both girls have worked their way up through the ranks and are currently competing at the top levels in the hunter and jumper divisions aboard their incredible string of horses.
