North Stonington, CT (September 23, 2010) – LubriSyn Equine, the equine market’s leading oral HA joint supplement, is proud to announce they are sponsoring dressage rider Tina Konyot. As the United States’ Number One Dressage rider headed into the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games, Konyot and her equine partner, Calecto V, recently proved they are a force in the dressage world when they won four Grand Prix classes at the Collecting Gaits Farm/USEF Festival of Champions.

“I am pleased to have LubriSyn join me as a sponsor,” Konyot said. “The health of my horses is of utmost importance to me and LubriSyn is the leading oral form of hyaluronic acid that when administered daily maintains joint health, increases mobility and sustains joint stability. My horses are top athletes that work hard and they deserve a product that helps improve their performance and gives them a better quality of life.”

Konyot and Calecto V will join teammates Steffen Peters, Todd Flettrich and Katherine Bateson-Chandler as part of the U.S. Dressage Team at the World Equestrian Games. Peters, who will compete Ravel at the World Equestrian Games, is also sponsored by LubriSyn.

As the premium oral joint supplement on the market today, LubriSyn is used by champions in dressage, racing, hunter-jumping, show jumping, roping, barrel racing, cutting, reining, western pleasure and more. LubriSyn helps maintain healthy joints by improving the quality of synovial fluid, the liquid that surrounds the horse’s joints and helps cartilage function.

“We are proud to add Tina’s name to our list of sponsored riders. She has made her mark on the dressage world and LubriSyn clearly gives her horses the extra edge they need in the competitive world and keeps them at their competitive best every day,” said Dr. Steven Allday, CEO and founder of LubriSyn.

As a renowned racetrack veterinarian, Allday said that for more than 25 years he witnessed the benefits of using hyaluronic acid (HA) in equine athletes. “I wanted to find a way to keep HA levels consistent for better joint health,” said Dr. Allday. “It is always better to keep your horse healthy and competitive through a joint health maintenance program than to try to restore joint health once the damage is already done. Preventative medicine is always preferable to restorative medicine.”

Konyot, who is pleased to add LubriSyn to her list of sponsors, has spent years dominating the dressage world. In addition to training with her father, the late Alex Konyot, she spent five years in Europe where she was a student of Herbert Rehbein, Rudolf Zeilinger and Klaus Balkenhol, the former coach of the American Olympic Team.

In addition to the upcoming World Equestrian Games, Konyot has been named to the USET Developing List and the USET Grand Prix List. In 2004, she was short-listed with the horse, Anna Karenina, for the Athens Olympic Trials. Konyot and Anna Karenina were considered a favorite, but unfortunately Anna sustained a devastating injury that ended her career.
